Seiru Aruken

Ah.. you wish to know of my life, young one? Now that is a tale I have not told in a long, long time....

I was born a slightly smaller than average tiger cub, my parents were an average tiger male and my mother, though a tiger in appearence, she bore the blood of others down in her line. Thus the ability to speak to you today was passed down my line. My life was average, I had 2 sisters and 4 brothers, there are no tearful backstories to be had here my young one, I had two loving parents and a life that for all accounts was perfect, for a feral life to be.

When I was an older cub however, a.. teenager of around 10 or so I beleive the human equivalent is, but I digress.. Hunters came, from the human village not too far away, my parents were killed yes, and I was taken to be sold along with my brothers and sisters. We were split up with my youngest sister, the 'runt' of the litter, being the last to stay by my side.

I suppose you would be wondering, 'but Seiru, how did you keep the hunters form taking your sister away?' That, my young one, is an easy enough answer. I fought like the demons themselves to keep her by me, though my youngest sister was a frail one and I still somewhat young, humans think twice to mess with a tiger of the white north. She and I were sold at market apart in the end. For myself my life revolved to me trying to survive as best I could in my new situation and trying to find my brothers and sisters. I do not know what became of my siblings nor I suppose I ever will. My bloodline lives a great long time for Tigers but that doesn't make us immortal or invulnerable be any means.

Eventually, yes, I did return to the forest that was my home, I survived as basically as a feral could, determined to grow strong and fearsome enough to make the humans fear me. And yet.. I suppose I did too well a job in that regard, the village feared me yes, but they feared how large I grew, how intelligent I was, some regarded me a god, some a demon, others still thought I was a demigod. I certainly put the fear of Gaia into them when they crossed me. Overtime I did calm and it was not until the fearsome blizzard of when I was an adult did the turning point of my life hit in truth.

The storm was fierce, I was walking back from a simple hunt that resulted in a sparse little hare when the storm hit. Luckily enough my scent trail was still there and I had a thick coat that it didn't bother me so much, yet I heard something.. a small crying sound, it sounded like the weeping of the humans in their sorrow, so as a curious feline I was, I investigated. Sure enough my hunch was correct, I found a little human curled in the snow, sticks on his back made me think the boy had come seeking firewood. In this blizzard I knew he would freeze without some kind of fur to protect him. So, with the boy half frozen, I picked him up onto my back, a hard thing to do in itself, and carried the boy back to my den.

I know what you must be thinking, and no, I did not eat the boy. I kept him warm, I went out into the storm adn found berries for him to eat to maintain his strength, since I had never seen a human eat raw flesh and the hare was just enough for a meager of my meals. Luckily enough the child survived and in the morning when the weather broke, I led the boy back to his village. The relief on the mother's face as she regarded me as a god and thanked me was abound. Though I stayed back by the forest line and watched. I was thrown a meat piece, I suppose as a way of gratitude, which i took so as not to dishonor their gift. The boy as I saw grew into a fine man, and I left the village lands soon after he married, Last I heard he had named a child of his after me, a silly thing of humans..

And yet by this point I had come to think of finding my own mate and starting a family. It was the middle of spring when I met my beloved mate. She was a fine average white tiger, beautiful and deadly as a huntress. She couldn't speak as I was able to, and yet I fell for her, we mated and she bore me three beautiful cubs, two boys and one girl. I loved my family dearly and cared for them as well any father should.

When I returned from a particularly successful hunt to find my family gone, the stench fo blood high, I flew into a rage, a maddening rage that, if I remember what the humanoid said, killed at least 2 humans and a lot of livestock. I was captured after that, and exchanged owner after owner several times. I arrived at Guilderheim long after my rage had calmed and I had made peace with my current lot. That is my story young cub, as much of it as there is to tell.

Eh? My pendent? It is a reminder of what I lost, if you remember the boy I saved, he became a craftsman and fashioned this for me when I brought him a claw of my Eldest child. He cast the thing in a type of black resin, made to appear as.. Obsidian I believe he called it, I know what it is, but it ever appears the cresent that everyone sees me with.
