  Grim's view on sexual orientation is ambiguous at best, considering he is a highly undersexual character. While he enjoys the intimate company of both men and women, he feels more at ease and will more likely become romantically involved with men. However, he is a very picky partner, and it is unlikely he will chose a mate that is outwith his own species.

  Physical Appearance:
  Grim is of albino origin; both his skin and hair are as white as virgin snow, and also the reason for his former title as Knight of the Snow. His hair is far more pale than his skin, though he is noticeably pale, as though he has never seen the sun before. His eyes, as might be assumed, are also albino pink in color. Although most albinos have blue or grey eyes, pink eyes are still entirely possible and does naturally happen due to the lack of any melanin pigment in the iris itself.
  His general appearance would be considered androgynous by any stretch of the imagination. While he is not feminine, there is a distinct lack of any masculine traits that would serve as obvious pointers. Like many elvish races, Grim has an ethereal grace about him, an angelic beauty that seems to have him radiate with elegance. His face shape is gentle, but angular, with high cheek bones and a sharp chin but somewhat feminine jawline. There is no trace or hint of any facial hair. He has a small, unassuming nose that seems a little too straight to be human, and his eyes are a soft almond shape, but possess a glaring, almost hawkish feel to them. His lips are thin, and most often seen as a neutrally placid line or an ill-tempered frown. He has a foreign appeal to him, an almost eastern Asian accent to his appearance that can't quite be placed. His ears, as expected, are long and pointed; more akin to the night elves from World of Warcraft than, say, the elves from Lord of the Rings or Dragon Age.
  His body shape is of ecto-mesomorph proportions. While not entirely scrawny or thin, he is rather slender and built in a streamlined fashion rather than obtuse, bulging muscle. He is fit and toned, due to living life as a knight rather than help from a supernatural origin. As a Pariah, he bares the branding mark of such. His sits just beneath his right collar bone, and appears to be very similar to the Norse runic letter wunjo.
  His hair, as noted before, lacks any real color, however in comparison to his pale skin it has an almost light blueish tint to it. The longest point drops to the small of his back, with a short choppy fringe over his forehead and two longer sections that frame either side of his face that reach to just below his shoulders. At the very ends of his hair, it naturally becomes slightly curled, or twisted.

  Clothing:
  Grim's attire comes entirely down to what activity he happens to be attending. Casually, and most often, he will wear a billowing poet's shirt with the forearms wrapped in black leather, dark breeches or sometimes leather pants. More often than not he will be seen without any shoes upon his feet, supplying only bandages wrapped from the ankle down in their stead. However, on the occasion that he must, it is often knee-high riding boots he will chose.
  On duty or in the pit, he will almost always be wearing his armor. This starts with a dark crimson doublet, before the shirt and trousers of chainmaille and plate armor atop that. His armor is designed to be slightly more light-weight than most plate armor, sacrificed to allow more maneuverability. There is an intricate design across the chest, baring two small cherubic angels; similar to Cesare Borgia's armor from the Assassin's Creed franchise. There are clips upon either shoulder to allow him to attach a cape, most often seen in ivory as designated with his former name-sake.
  
  Trinkets/Accessories:
  Silver stud piercings; one at the 'lobe' at the other at the furthest end of the lower section of cartilage. There is a small silver chain that connects the piercings together, and decorating the center of the chain is a small feather, likely the covert from a very small bird, primarily white in color with a small band of black-brown at the base. These piercings are present in both his ears.
  His sword, known as the Pale Beacon. While it looks more rapier, as the art noveau hand guard might suggest, it holds and swings like a hanger sword. The hand guard may seem gaudy and too intricate compared to an ordinary sword, however the manner in which is has been designed allows enemy swords to slide right off when caught in a blade lock. It has been designed in lieu to his armor, and is lightweight and easier to swing, bringing swift attacks at the sacrifice of pure brute force. The hilt and handle are made of steel, but coated in a 'white' finish to give a decorative effect that makes it almost seem as though they are made from bone. Across the flat side of the blade, there are engravings of Melui origin.

  Personality:
  Outwardly, Grim will seem cold shouldered, detached, disinterested and generally ignorant of those that are not Melui. He will seem haughty, arrogant and conceited; to those that manage to exort a conversation out of him. He seems to be a thoughtful man who prefers his solitude rather than social gatherings, but is not against such due to his position at Ser'endae. He is atypical of the 'strong and silent' character archetype, wherein he will not add his two cents to a conversation unless he believes it important or necessary. He does not part-take in idle chatter, and if a person or conversation begins to bore him he has been known to simply walk away without warning.
  However, there are only a few things true about the outward perception of him. Though detached and uninterested in petty affairs, Grim is a man of passionate emotions, and an ever more passionate temper. Being the proud creature he is, matters that insult or demean his swollen pride will quickly cause his anger to flare. Though he has a strong control of this short fuse of his, pushing the right buttons and hitting the right nerves will swiftly dissolve such control. He has been known to attack people outright when they insult his heritage as an Melui, or if they insult his people. Though he is a truly good man at heart, the scripture of the Occulus have greatly warped his sense of right and wrong, and can (and has) do terrible things in the name of pride and justice.
  His sense of humor (whenever he finds it) is often witty and sarcastic, often leaving people wondering whether or not his remark was serious due to the deadpan nature of his expression and tone. And on the rare occasion, he may even smile. Or laugh.
  
  Abilities:
  Naturally, all Melui have the ability to manipulate the mana present in Ser'endae. This can be used to power a variety of different abilities, such as elementalist, or necromancy. Grim personally chose the elementalist route, strongly believing that the dead should not be tampered with. This ability allows him to conjure up flames with the click of his fingers, cause great walls of earth to appear out of the ground to shield him from attacks or advance the rate of growth of flora around him, or call upon tangling vines from the forest to ensnare his enemies, manipulate the temperatures of the water around to freeze or boil (or, as he has found to be invaluable, pull water out of his clothing or off his skin to become instantly dry), create bubbles of air underwater to prevent drowning or cause massive gusts of wind around him, or force the air beneath him to become temporarily 'solid', making it seem as though he can levitate in the air. All of these abilities, however, drain mana and will not always be readily available depending on both his physical and mental health. Powering up such abilities to lethal force takes time, and often when caught in the heat of the battle mana abilities are used in small doses to gain the upper hand, rather than attempting to decimate his opponents. Grim is a known master of the elementalist branch, and before his expulsion from the Occulus he often taught new initiates.
  Another ability atypical to Melui is the power to call forth 'wings' made of pure mana. They are very much capable of flight and require very little mana to power them. While the designs of such wings are vaguely different, they all share the same rough shape. Grim's wings bare no intricate design due to his status as Pariah, the majority being a light blue, almost white in color, with a contrastingly dark blue border that wavers and shimmers, much like an aurora.
