  Marksmanship - Highly skilled with pistol and rifle alike, capable of picking of hitting most of his targets with precision and skill even without his left eye. The captain never leaves his boat without a pair of flintlocks and generally unlikely to part with them.
  
  Swordsmanship - As long as it has a sharp edge or point, Malkavin can make use of most weapons with relative ease. A natural when it comes to using his cutlass or saber and capable of holding his own in combat against a blade wielding opponent.
  
  Seamanship - The sea is where the Captain really show's his abilities, knowing the dangers of sailing better than most. Capable of maintaining his ship and navigating out on the open water with the help of a proper crew. The sea is more of a mother than the woman who gave birth to him and he know's when to avoid her ire.
  
  Sleight of Hand - A necessary skill for any con artist, whether he is hiding something in his sleeves or secretly maneuvering an object.
  
  Lock Picking - What type of thief would he be if he wasn't capable of picking locks? Chests, safes, and shackles, as long as magic has no say in the equation and he has something to pick with, he can probably get them open.
  
  Dirty Fighting - Honor is overrated in the eyes of the pirate captain when it comes to life and death. Honor is for those who think there is a good way of dying and to Malkavin, that isn't the case. So when his life is in danger, he isn't above throwing dirt at eyes, back-stabbing or kicking his opponent right where it hurts the most.
  
  Violin - As far as music goes, Malkavin has always held an interest in the violin and has spent quite a bit of time learning to play it. When he isn't busy aboard his ship, he'll play the violin to block out the voices that haunt him.
