THE BORAMETZ Red meat is a luxury no matter where Arron happens to settle - especially in places ill-suited for successfully rearing livestock. Prices are high, but so is the demand - and often it's not a very competitive business. Which is just the way Arron likes it. In addition to utilizing a small population of livestock animals, Arron has devised and implemented a workaround to stock issues - one which he often reserves for less hospitable or sustainable areas (such as Guildereim); the borametz. The jury is still out on whether these unexpected additions to his more customary fare are strangely stationary animals or exceptionally unusual plants. If not both. A curiosity to behold and a delicacy to eat, these odd creatures stem from the earth, quickly grow as a complete animal on compact, vibrating, vein-filled vines, and varieties generally resemble anything from geese, to ambiguous livestock, to the rare human. These appearance of these 'fruits' range from buds, gourds and blossoms to full-grown adults, and they appear to have flesh, blood and bones like any regular animal. With the exception of the more humanoid varieties, most act pleasant, quiet and agreeably dull. |

Arron collects magic. Whether to augment or enhance his own skill, or simply to obtain knowledge alone, Arron has found himself running a small under-the-table business of buying, selling, sampling and trading unusual (often illegal) artifacts, texts and substances. The stranger, rarer and more illicit the subject, the more Arron finds it appealing, and he frequently seems utterly oblivious - or perhaps welcoming - of any bizarre consequence to himself upon use. This behavior could be likened to an addiction. |
