I've finally given in and hired a flesh-and-blood assistant - and what a stroke of luck, as Master Quinne is a dedicated, hard-working fellow who has the patience to deal with me, and one who proves enjoyable company as well! He has become like family over time; he is a confidant, a son. I trust him with my life and I will always do whatever I am able for his sake. Now, if only I could help turn the course of his terrible rash of troublesome luck!

It is an idea to which I am still growing accustomed - and he's a clever boy, he knows...
