Physical Information

• Developments

  Health: Sight getting worse; resulting emotional distress mildly evident.
  Mobility: Chaperoned and aided by a manservant, who goes by the name of Quincey (NPC), on occasion. She does enjoy his company, but generally detests the need for his service. As he is often required by his true master, she must sometimes go alone and this creates some potential for trouble.
  
  Tutelage: Awaiting trial courses with Messrs. Uvy and Nios - seperately or concurrently; continuing education and curriculum to be determined.
  
  In search of plot involving:

  • a means of companionship, someone to connect with or simply a person with which to find regular company in. While at times her days are occupied and filled with errands, this does not mean she is without the need to socialize, and as it stands she has few friends.
  • prospects for musical education, to round out her abilities. Instruments of strings or woodwind are likely contenders, but the medium is suggestible - feel free to approach with ideas. Vocal studies/singing are not desired.
  • partially remedying her eyesight. Doctors, bio-mechanical tinkerers, makers of clockwork devices, all of interest. Drastic, body-altering means are perfectly acceptable - actually, preferred.
  • possibly impeding her eyesight further due to ridiculous eye-fixing schemes.

• The Basics

  Species: Lynx.
  ---Sub Species/Breed: Lynx canadensis.
  
  Body Type: Sturdy, lean muscled, with ample padding. Thick in the thighs, hips and buttocks, but small-chested. Short and hearty.
  ---Height: 5'3".
  ---Weight: 145-150 lbs.
  
  Hair: A warm chestnut brown, not very spectacular - straight as a board. Reaches the chest/upper back, with a neat fringe cut above her brow, leveled like a ruler; sometimes she worn pinned up out of her face.
  
  Eyes: Blue, though a lot more like lavender in many lights. They're very pale, so the colour may not always be as evident as their lightness is. Her pupils have a vague milkiness to them. (Going blind, with time.)
  
  Fur: Something between cream and a lighter shade of taupe, with warm undertones and subtle whisps of brown throughout. The tufts of her ears are dark - a near black coffee shade - as are the marked lines around her eyes. She has a definite tuft of hair on her chest, mostly a milky white.
  
  ---Physical Markings: She has the markings of an average lynx, while other "marks" are plentiful. There are scars of varying degree on every part of her body, including face, back, chest, belly, arms, legs and hands. It would be impossible for the sighted not to notice her scarring, and the degree of it. Identifying scars are on her face - one crosses the middle of the bridge of her nose, one scoops up her right cheek and forks out near the eye in two, and one cuts underneath her chin. Others include what appear to be heavy whip marks on her back and shoulders - less so on the hind areas - and injuries sustained by a blade to her belly and inner forearms. The knuckles and backs of her hands are also riddled with tiny gouges, healed scrapes and cuts.

  • Her facial scarring, and if under-dressed, the intense scarring of her body as well. Quite prominent.
  • Extremely pale eyes, visibly impaired.
  • Her smile quirks up more to the left, and less so on the scarred side.

  
  Voice: Light, naturally quiet, with a vague and androgynous accent; rolls her 'r's.

• Decoration

  After being gifted during the winter solstice with a fresh wardrobe, Alastriona has undergone a bit of her own fashion revolution. Her attire is almost exclusively genteel, of Georgian and early-Victorian styling, with Regency-period influence. High collared blouses with puffed or slouched sleeves - accented with only a tasteful amount of lace - pair often with lengthy tailored frock coats or cinched-in outing jackets. High-waisted, light muslin gowns are favored for the early day and at home, while ladies walking suits and dresses of richer fabric with shorter, capped sleeves are reserved for outings and occasions that demand a more formal attire. Generally corsets, bustles and other frippery are forgotten in favor of a more simple, flighty style of dress.

• Health

  Fitness: In excellent shape. She has very good endurance and can carry heavy objects, but is limited in her performance ability because of her eyesight. Short, stocky legs make her slower at running and walking.
  ---Recovery: Exceptionally hardy, with strong bones and musculature. She heals quickly from ailments and recovers from bodily wounds well. Could likely fall out of a third story window and walk away more or less unscathed.
  
  Diet: Omnivorous.
  ---Food Allergies: Not aware of any.
  
  Obvious Afflictions (Permanent):

  • Near-blindness; she is good at "acting sighted" (i.e. looking in the direction of the person speaking, however may not be able to make eye contact) but will easily get tripped or lost. She can only see a couple feet ahead of her in exceptional light, vision is poor and blurry at distance, and is worse the farther the subject is viewed. It will be very easy for most people to notice. -- No night-vision, can not see in the dark or dimly lit areas at all.
  • She will at times walk with a limp. The problem seems to involve her right leg. Depending on climate and her own relative health, her knee can cause her problems, but she is hardy enough to ignore or hide this most of the time. Damp, cold weather exacerbates it.
