  Taboo offspring of a former servant and her master; Daie is familiar with the world of slavery and how it works and harbored a distinct hatred for it. During younger years, he was schooled and taught basic education in order to keep standards. There was a brief moment in his childhood that he had a near-death experience, brought back from the brink of existence after drowning in a lake. After that, Daie claimed to be able to see the dead, spirits wandering the halls of his home - even speak to them. No doubt the remnants of previous servants that the family owned.
  
  It didn't take Daie very long when he was older to learn just how much debt his gambling father had accumulated over the years, between merchants and other 'businessmen' of the slave circles. Most of the luxuries that the family had preserved over time were sold to industries in order to pay back money owed, this included their only heir.
  
  He has yet to come into contact with either parent since then. Only time will tell if they were spared their lives from the debt, or if they too, were taken. Daie bitterly hopes for the latter.
