  • Abilities

    By virtue of being a symbiote, this symbiote can theoretically do almost anything. Controlling itself--and thus its host--on the molecular level, the list of things it "can" do are nearly endless. However, that's a list of potential. This particular symbiote is still young, so is still trying to figure out how far it can push a host's body and in what directions, while keeping the host safe. No two hosts are alike, and no two species are anything near alike, so what works for one host won't necessarily work for another.

    To that end, the symbiote's known abilities can be listed thus (and note that it's emphatically not an exhaustive list; more may come up):

    Known Abilities
      General physical amplification: The symbiote amplifies the strength of its host, as well as conferring improved speed and agility on the host. Further, it can enhance the host's immune system response, making them heal damage more quickly, and make them less susceptible to infection or contagion.

      The symbiote can take control of the host's body, effectively shunting the mind to the side. The host doesn't recall anything that happened; it's like they "lost time", or awoke from an impromptu nap.

      When fully bonded with its host, the symbiote has a more biologically-complex symbiosis; able to tweak their host to extremes quickly and painlessly on the molecular level.

      The symbiote has the ability to form tendril-like pseudopods. This can be used to great effect by forming weak tendrils and shields from constituent matter. Deeper levels of bonding, plus a steadier diet of phenylethylamine, can lead the symbiote to wider and more varied usage of pseudopods.

      The symbiote is adept at controlling its coloration. This allows it to take on the appearance of normal clothing, to provide highly effective and complex camouflage, and to even disguise its hosts' physical features.

      The symbiote has the ability to process breathable gases when the host normally cannot breathe (for example, in water).

  • Weaknesses

    The only real weaknesses the symbiote has are sound waves and intense heat. Sound waves destabilize the symbiote's structure; an explosion going off nearby sends the symbiote into a frenzy of pain as it fights to keep cohesion. A raging fire nearby makes the symbiote incredibly lethargic, finding difficulty in doing much of anything.
