The Story

• Historically, or mythologically if you prefer... Daeva have a bad reputation. While some interpretations try to cast them in a positive light, even going so far as to worship them as gods in the pre-Zoroastrian era, no one knows for sure when or why they began to be called False Gods. However, Daevas when they can be found and questioned, seem to believe that they were betrayed, rejected, and abandoned. They began to turn predatory, perhaps even evil. As the generations continued to reproduce, the stories and feelings handed down through the race, the dark tendencies that were picked up began to be part of their nature. Those born later on, even those who are not pure blooded Daeva fight the darker side of themselves.
  
  Samil's blood is diluted up the line by Djinn ancestors. He is a distant cousin to Malik, though their families were not particularly close. He prefers solidarity however he goes through periods of living with Z and Malik, particularly when he worries that his darker side might take him over. Usually, after a few decades he will disappear again. Since he has the tendency to just vanish without warning, he makes it a point to not develop close relationships. That, along with his upbringing, he avoids humans as best he can. He very rarely makes relationships with them at all.
