Nivek

Roleplay Backstory

• For years, Nivek never knew who he was, or where he came from. He only remembers waking up, in a strange land, alone. As a pup, he tried joining other packs only to be rejected. The packs feared him, afraid of unknowing what he was. The form of a wolf, but with many uncharacteristics of one. Always being called a demon or a monster. In his travels, he tried and failed, only to become a lone wanderer, hunting were he can. Wondering if he will find a place to call home.
  
  In his travels, he came accross a strange structure where the like of an unknown creatures he has never seen before deweled. They were upright with 2 legs and 2 arms. A larger leader, doing the hard labour. A more smaller, gentler creature and a younger one, who also helped with the harder labour.
  
  As a cautious creature, he stayed hidden, observing, watching their daily routines. After a while, he took a chance and revealed himself to the unknown creatures. Akward at first, the creatures didn't know what to make of him. Trying to shoo Nivek away. Nivek's curiosity kept him coming back, to the point where the unknown creatures got use to his presence and left him be. Nivek, keeping his distance, but making his presence known. He would lay on a nearby hill, watching for a bit before he went hunting.
  
  One day, as he was hunting, he hears the unknown, larger creature yell. His structure, home, on fire, the 2 pack members stuck in the building. Nivek, now attached to the unrealistic pack rushed in and saved the two souls by making a hole in the wall for them to escape in the arms of the leader.
  
  Nivek, overjoyed for their safety decided to give them their space. The leader of their pack, looked over and removed himself from the group and slowly approached Nivek. Unsure, Nivek slowly started to back off and turns his head as if ready to bolt. However, something inside of him said to stay. He looks back at the group, then looks to the hill and makes his decision. Nivek sat down and allowed the creature to approach. His eyes, remained locked to the approaching leader. When suddenly, the approaching creature stopped, lowered himself and thank Nivek for his courage, for saving his family. Nivek, seeing this kind gesture, approached the dominant creature and nuzzled his paw like feature as if to say 'You're Welcome'.
  
  From then on, he was welcomed with open arms to their lands, to their home. Once called a monster, a demon, and unknown; he is now called guardian, friend, a member of their pack. He had found a place he can call Home.
  
  Nivek remained loyal to those around him, but he still had questions. Why was he the only one of his kind? Where did he come from? And will he be alone forever? After a long time of contemplating, he tells his adopted pack he must leave to find the answers he seeks. Always having a place in his heart for them. He parts ways, promising to return.
  
  His travels has brought him to a area the locals call Starlight Escape where rumors of strange creatures, described as himself has been seen.
  
  Nivek took residence up in Starlight Escape, becoming a guardian of the lands. There, he met someone who holds dearly in his heart, Nocturnal Coyote. They had become friends. Always bringing a joyous feeling to him when he saw her, to the point where he'd began to love her, though, he wouldn't say anything, not for the longest time. Since meeting her, he'd decided to leave Starlight and follow her to her land of Moonlight Sanctuary, again, becoming the guardian of her land, protecting it. Nocturnal and her friends disappeared on The Harbinger for a very long time, not seeing her for what seemed as months. All he knew was when she returned, there was a burial of someone he'd learn was her brother.
  
  While she was away, Nivek went on a bit of a journey himself, discovering who he really was. His race, as he discovered were called Voided Hounds. It changed him, at-least for a bit. He'd become one, inherited the powers and abilities his family was able to control.
  
  He was in this form when Noct and the others had returned back to the estate. Seeing how much and realizing how much he had changed, he'd went through a ritual. One that bind his void energy to the estate, allowing his family to be tied together. There was one consequence to this.. Nivek was prone to voided possessions. He'd keep this a secret for the longest time, not wanting to worry his friends.
  
  Nivek had done some research and discovered how he could truly be free. He'd need to go with them on their journey, hoping the ship will stop or pass the island of his family.
  
  While he has been on the ship, a lot has happened already. He'd come to Nocturnal's rescue, now being wanted in Furrabia. Voided possessions. Arkwin and Tykari's breakup. Tykari's change. His confession of love to the hybrid. And the near full possession of his body.
  
  And this is at the first port. The Harbinger will have their adventures for sure.
