The Suesai |
He was born Vulcanus; once a bright boy who sought above all else the praise of a father who wanted little to do with him. He grew into a stern man, Vulcan, who would lay his life down for his kingdom and force away his troubles into becoming a Guardian. Then those troubles brewed from nightmares into reality, and his estranged father tore his lineage apart and ruptured the life he had established for himself. Exiled from the only life he knew? He wandered alone, giving himself to the ocean and letting it carry him where it willed. He wandered the world alone. Reserved on the good days, and on the brink of careless hatred on the worst of them. He encountered many on his rampage. Some of them tolerated and provided the aid of his anger, while others may have been met with wild aggression. Until he found a certain woman. She who was born of the land, painted with every color of the sky. Her brilliance drawing him from the dark depths and gave to him a purpose. A path to swim, and a something precious which he might try protect. Until their sordid affair was ripped apart by the fangs of a jealous husband, and he was forced into bonds for punishment and entertainment. Only to once again become the savage beast the ocean had made of him. Where he was forced to fight, to breed, and refused above all else to give them the satisfaction of his surrender. He waited until they grew complacent with him, and only then would finally tear himself free of his bonds and freed what of his people he could from their compound. Fighting until they could escape, and then barely surviving the wounds he sustained. Now that purpose is gone. The light has faded. He is nothing. Not a memory. Nor a name. He is a myth dying in the embrace of the ocean, falling into a void. Can you help him find where he has been? Can you show him where he needs to go? Or will you add another splash of RED to his ledger of sins and torments? |
