    This is a constant WIP, as significant things happen to her. Please bear with me!

    Civil war was threatening Jordan, and the seat of the rebellion was seated in Amman. Ahmad and Yasmin Kassis knew the extent of the danger to civilian lives, and feared for the safety of their only daughter. Ahmad had found his way to the docks, and approached one of the crew of a merchant ship. Upon asking for the captain, this crewman proclaimed that he was such, and succeeded in pulling the wool over the older man's eyes, and quickly promised the transport of his daughter in exchange for a sum of gold. The family quickly scraped up the total that had been asked, and returned to the docks to find the man. The exchange of gold was made, and the lying deckhand suddenly had other plans for her. After a heartfelt goodbye - as the elderly couple had tried for years to conceive, and Irisi was the only result - the teen promised to return for them, when things had settled down. The sailor led her aboard, and quickly smuggled her into a dark storage room, instructing her to wait there. Time passed, and eventually two other men discovered her in their storage, quickly binding her hands behind her back, and dragging her to their actual captain.

    The captain knew he could turn a quick profit for a pretty young thing, and soon enough sold her to The Golden Tether. Once the ship had reached it's destination, Irisi was dragged from the ship and handed over to the equine guards for a sum of gold. She was stripped down, washed roughly, and dressed in a ragged sari. Then, girl was priced at 7gold.png to be rented, and 75gold.png to be purchased. She was guided through the establishment and shoved into the pens, where she spent her days quietly.

    That is, until she spied Gelu offering his services to the patrons of the Golden Tether. She managed to get his attention, and asked him questions about her lot in life. The deer answered her as best he could, telling her that it's better to submit than fight the powers that be. She took his advice to heart, even though at times he seemed half-hearted in his replies. Next, she met Icarye, who gave her a whirlwind of emotions. He'd asked a question, and she didn't answer as he liked. Overall, he went from scolding her, to praising her, then threatening her, only to end up giving her life lessons about her placement as a slave. His words about submitting and doing exactly as she's told - listen and obey - were taken seriously. When she passed his test, he exclaimed how proud he was, and it made her hold her head up a little higher. Maybe this wouldn't be as hard as it seemed.

    After a period of time contained to the Underhall - rumored illness aside - Irisi was placed back within the general public. She met one Handler Mars, who gave her some light instruction on how to greet the staff, as well as how to make herself more noticeable to those outside the cage. Suggestions and tips came from both Cupid and Anastacia, offering her better odds of catching someone's eye. This happened to a small extent, as she was called to serve tea to Elliot Marlowe and his companion, Stasia. The next day, a man named Saqr blindly rented her, having only seen her papers and not her face. He had some interesting stipulations about how she would act in his presence. Pleasant conversation and tea had the lioness hoping to see him again, if only to talk about their shared passion for clothing.
