Maxie

A man of more practical and relaxed fashion sense who prefers earthy tones and comfort - wears multiple thin layers he can remove as needed in warmer climates. It is typical for him to wear nondescript tunics and simple breeches with minimal embellishment, sometimes a long coat over the top, and often a hooded cloak when he's out and about. Max appreciates longer vests and coats for the pocket space, very much a fan of heavier belts and sashes to tuck gear into.

Is almost always seen with heavy leather satchel bag over one shoulder and sword at hip regardless of circumstance; when adventuring or hunting, with many more accompanying pouches, weapons, and various pieces of gear strapped to belt. Is a very big fan of pockets and prefers thick belts for carrying a variety of smaller gear, including attachments running to a holster bag belted to hip and thigh for additional space. A hefty utility belt is worn when out hunting, with pouches for gathering and various places to hang tools and weapons (as well as poisons or other reagents) (a gift from Jaspur).

• What could be considered his palette or preferred colors include dark brown, deep blue, cream and white.
  
  
• Is usually well groomed, but reliant on fragrances to deal with his natural musk.
  
  
• Is generally seen in a pair of sizable leather boots or glovelike footwear when out and about, preferring the first for social comfort and the second for physical.
  
  
• Is a fan of being shirtless at home and kicking off his shoes whenever he can get away with it.
  
  
• It is common to see Maxie wear a pair of gloved bracers, fingerless to protect his knuckles while still allowing for some dexterity.
  
  
• Maxie occasionally likes to wear bracelets and wristbands when casually dressed, typically simple and more masculine pieces made from leather or rope. There are some with beads (a gift from Senna), but for the most part these are more disposable pieces. However, he has no piercings and doesn't seem particularly interested in accessorizing, only wearing charm necklaces from time to time for more practical purposes.

They correct his myopia, but have to be kept 'charged' and will more than likely eventually give out. It appears to be a charm of some kind and one he is oddly compelled to keep. (a gift from Rufio Delgado)

Maxie almost always carries around a side satchel not unlike a messenger bag, with ample pockets to go with the holster bag often at hip opposite of sword. Inside you can usually find a variety of personal belongs and practical items! Is used to carrying around most of his things and/or perhaps just enjoys doing so, whatever the case he's a 'backpack' sort and lacking a sense of materialism.

Now that he has returned to actively hunting problematic beasts, he makes sure to keep well stocked, from simple items like salt to homemade alchemical solutions. All raw ingredients and concoctions are well sealed in their stoppered jars as some are just as toxic to him as they are to others.

When able to afford and put together a fully stocked kit, it will generally include various orbs and vials filled with materials and concoctions: ashes, grave dirt, salt, concentrations, something not unlike colloidal silver suspended in sap. It takes a lot of work to keep these supplies stocked and getting ingredients from alchemists and herbalists is typically expensive - over the years he has taken to learning how to gather and make his own tools of trade, arguably a very selective amateur alchemist and inventor.

Maxie has negative reactions himself to some of the items he keeps in his kit and as a result most everything is very carefully stored and handled. There are some things he will not keep around at all anymore out of consideration for others.

A collection of items Maxie would claim are reminders with practical use, but could be argued to be no more than trophies. They're typically kept stashed away somewhere safely rather than carried on his person.

While these contain pieces made from all sorts of materials, the large majority are made from the teeth, bones, claws, etc. of various supernatural beasts and races. While many have practical use he avoids wearing them out of respect for others: there are some that act as wards in addition to being a dark reminder of his craft.
