    I highly question the sanity of either of us. He is a strange elf, indeed. There is no consistency. There is no logic behind most of his motivations. I know he only follows me in hopes that I should help him slay the mighty God-Beast that took the lives of so many at that outpost towards the south of Icdawalin. It must be painful for him to be the only one who made it out alive after such a massacre. Not that I care. At least he has chosen to be my humble servant, and that's all that really matters. Though, he does have a very nasty habit at night. It tires my poor body and breaks it every time. He is a menace to my ill health. Perhaps he will kill me one day in my sleep. I figure that this innocence that he occasionally feigns must be some sort of peculiar way to keep me in check. He seems to think he holds the power just because he is stronger than myself.
    
    Well, we shall see who has the last laugh on that...
