She also has displayed a power of charm, which puts people under her influence. Ivy also possesses the power to make plant life do as she wishes. She also has access to the following weapons: barbed whipping vines, poisoned darts, poisoned lipstick, poisoned fingernails, and crossbow.

    Biography: Pamela was poisoned by her fiance, Marc LeGrand, who stole an urn containing ancient Egyptian herbs. He thought he was eliminating his only witness, but instead, she became immune to all poisons, and took on the identity of Poison Ivy. She has committed several crimes over the years.

    Female Empowerment? Poison Ivy, although she was created in 1966, has recently resurged in the realms of television (cartoons) and movies (Batman & Robin). She consistently uses her appearance, along with her other weapons (poisoned lipstick, nails and pharamones), to gain an advantage over her enemies. Is she just using her body to the fullest, or is she succumbing to stereotypical representations of women? Poison Ivy is not much different from her peers. Her other evil friends, Harley Quinn and Catwoman, team up with Poison Ivy quite often to wreak havoc on Gotham City. She can be seen as the bond of the female forces of evil. In that sense, she is poison to Gotham's good guys and gals.
