  - Taking a page out of Malaysian mythology, Jules and vampires of his kind can still reproduce and have children, but crossing a vampire with a mortal woman results in a half vampire that instinctively hates other vampires and will try to kill them.

  BACKSTORY:
  In the year of 1810, Jules was on holiday from his native London through the mainland Eastern Europe, where in Hungary he crossed paths with a charming lass who wined him and toyed with him all night... who turned out to be a bitier lass than most. Jules awoke rather unexpectedly in a morgue with his former friends and all the townsfolk horrified by his reanimation. He fled into the wilds of Europe and went into a deep downward spiral before deciding that his will to live trumped other people's right to live and came to terms with his new self.
  
  Shortly after, he moved to America and settled in New Jersey. Predictably, his disregard for other people's lives has gotten him in lots of scrapes over the centuries but so far he's managed to not only survive, but eke out a semi-normal living with a wife and three children (one of whom no longer lives with him, having been adopted by another family better equipped to deal with her)
