We have watched the Walls of Prophecy unfold tales so absolutely unimaginable... even I myself strained to believe a select few.
Including... that of your being.
Hundreds upon thousands have passed down knowledge of each generation
And with each passing came an added expectation to your destiny... your journey.
I watched time pass by with bated breath, waiting for the day to come that your conception would sweep the world by storm; that your birth would rattle the stars. Rattle even the cosmos itself. And then... when my back was turned for little more than a minute... it happened.
We sought you out from one corner of the earth to the next, scouring high and low to secure your future, your safety... your destiny. In what we later discovered to be 1982 A.D., we found you buried in the sand on the outskirts of São Pedro de Moel, a small, seaside village in Portugal... but had no record that told us exactly when you were born.
From that day, we knew what to expect; how to care for you, how to raise you, how to make you understand. We sat you on a throne of gold and kept a keen eye over your progress; lain, knelt, slept, wept, bled, starved... and even a few died in our quest to learn you our ways, our knowledge.
By the time we learned that it was all for naught, however...
we were already too late.
Flashes came to us by night, while we slept, a rare few even slipped into our daydreams; flashes of carnage, of chaos and destruction. At the center of it all, it took us a few sessions to figure it out... but there you were, the heart of everything, sleeping peacefully as if nothing was out of the ordinary, basking in your 'joy', in the revelry.
You would never have begun to understand how we came to know it was you... we just did, that's all I can tell you. By the time we settled on a method to do something about it... we were already too late, even then. Like you were one step ahead of us, the entire time.
After rushing as fast as possible to make it to your nursery, it was gone. Destroyed, the entirety of its contents charred to ash and coating the granite floor. All of it, that is... except a tiny pile of shattered eggshells circled neatly around a heart of ember. Then, and only then, did we truly realize what had gone wrong.
Only then... did we truly realize that you were not going to come quietly.
I leave this note for you through time, Olyvar... in the sincerest-possible hopes that it finds you in a time future-past when you have come to understand your actions and glance back at the wake of devastation that you leave everywhere you tread. And with it, I beg of you a course of action that might truly help you find peace in this world. I beg of you, Olyvar... I beg of you.
