• Description

  Numa is, quite frankly, a djinn of considerable vanity. The benefit of her race is the ability to change forms into nearly anything she desires. Obviously some forms are easier to maintain than others, but there really are no limitations to any specific creatures. Her most beloved form is that of a harem woman with pale flesh and light blue eyes {uncommon for her Arabic background}. While her body is physically appetizing in that state it's quite vulnerable {despite her magical properties}. To counteract this she, when required, will promptly shift into feral predators to suit her needs: tiger, falcon, jaguar, wolf, etc. {though most commonly some type of feline}. Aside from maintaining her beautiful form at all times the only other way Numa uses her abilities as a genie is to simply mess with people. Innocent tricks to life-threatening ordeals are in her repertoire of naughty delights, if one tempts her or raises her fury.*
  
  
  *It's important to note she's not all powerful, has her own weaknesses, and will not be roleplayed in any form of god-mode. If her magic is to be used in roleplay it will be done responsibly (so please don't request ridiculous things, it's just not going to happen )

• Biography

  Djinn - Known as "genies" in English, Djinn (singular form Djinni) have deep roots in Arab culture. The Djinn first sprang from stories told by Indian, Persian, and Arabian storytellers and gained international fame when they appeared throughout the tales Scheherezade told in "The Thousand and One Nights". It is said that the Djinn are created from fire and can take on any form they choose-animal or human-and can be of any size, including gigantic. Most of them are hostile, although some can be friendly. It is possible for magicians or wise men and women to gain power over a Djinn and use it to perform amazing and magical tasks. But be wary, for even a friendly Djinn is unpredictable, and certainly anyone who breaks an agreement with a Djinn will strongly regret it. Often Djinn take naughty pleasure in punishing people for wronging them, even unintentionally.
  
  There are five different types of Djinn. The least powerful is the Jann, next come the Djinn, and then the Sheytans, or devils. The Afrits (this is what Numa is), sometimes called Efreets are very powerful, but the Marids are the most powerful and dangerous of all. Djinn are generally believed responsible for illness and mishaps. Magicians have trapped Djinn in various ways. One way was imprisoning them in an old brass lamp. When someone rubs the lamp three times, the Djinni inside will appear, grant three wishes, and obey the one who set it free. Traditionally, it is said that the great and wise King Solomon shut misbehaving Djinn in lead-stoppered bottles and threw them into the sea.

  Any information about Numa's history I would prefer to be found out through RP. Oftentimes in roleplay I have come across characters bringing up parts of my own characters history through various forms. This is very frustrating. If my character does not speak it out loud or indicate it through body language, please don't respond to what is clearly their thoughts, emotions, and/or prejudices.
