  "Like glistening moonstones that shone in the black velvet of the ocean at midnight, she was bright and pale against the darkness, her very skin radiating subtle light that illuminated the inky waves into a more brilliant blue. There was an eerie iridescence to her every surface - skin, hair, fin, tail - all bright with the brilliance of both pearl and the innermost shell of an oyster. This was combined with the delicate, skin-thin silk of a lengthy tail fin that trailed behind the ethereal creature like paper streamers or ribbon. Her milk-white hair was long and uneven, her features petite. Most often seen at night - if even then, a mermaid was a rare sight, even moreso an albino."

• Biography

  Not much is currently known about her except that she doesn't communicate well with humans (or other terrestrial beings), but does speak some English, though it is poor. She can, however, communicate with whales and dolphins with 'boops' and screeches, as well as use echolocation.
  
  There are more like her but she isn't telling just where exactly. It does appear, however, that they tend to live just beyond the continental shelf with homes built directly into the rock and earth itself and they form villages and communities in areas like this, usually not too terribly far away from port cities and fishing villages.
  
  She, and in turn others like her, can shift into a two-legged humanoid - however, she is unsteady on her feet.

  Basic rules for dealing with me (OOC)
  
  1. Do not send random or impromptu 'IC' posts to me. I will ignore these.
  
  2. Excessive or sexual persona play will eventually result in me leaving the conversation or ignoring you. You are not your character unless we are actually roleplaying and if you cannot *stand* to ever go OOC... don't talk to me. Ever.
  
  3. Respect is given where respect is due. If you come at me as if I'm a hooker on a street corner, I'll probably insult your intelligence and put you on ignore.
  
  4. I'm not interested in over-sexualized characters of any kind. If your main reference image has an erect penis in it, I probably won't RP with you.
  
  5. Don't be a dick. If all you have for me are criticisms or insults, then don't whisper me at all.
  
  6. If you whisper me, please be direct about what you want. I do not know how to respond to passive behavior.

• Random notes

  +Roleplay with this character works best if there is a body of water, preferably the ocean or a river with an inlet from the ocean. This isn't 100% necessary but we will have to get a bit more creative otherwise.
  
  +She doesn't/can't speak much so don't think that your character can just walk up to her and carry on a normal conversation. That said, she is capable of learning more words over the course of a longterm roleplay.
  
  +Yes, she can be an exotic pet.
  
  +No, I won't let her be someone's slave.
  
  +When exposed to the air for prolonged periods of time, her gills will close up and the tail becomes a pair of legs.
