    • Kitsunes' tend not use their
      real names when among mortals
      as it can be used to bind the
      kitsune, banish it, or work spirit
      magic on it.
    • True name: Kotori
    • Name meaning: Bird of Luck
    • Age: 621 yrs of age
    • Height: 3 ft at shoulder
    • Weight: 70 lb.

    The Tails
    Even though Kotori only shows
    a single tail most of the time
    doesn't mean that is the only
    one she has. In truth she has
    seven tails in total and only
    when she is in danger or
    protecting someone she cares
    deeply for will she show all
    of her tails to anyone. To the
    kitsune, the number of tails
    they have are a show of prestige,
    skill, age, and rank.
    Abilities
    • Illusions - Kitsunes are
      innate illusionists. Their
      illusions are reality. What
      they make, for them, and for
      others, is as real as anything
      found or crafted in nature.
    • Mind Control - Kotori can dominate
      those around her in a sense. This is a form
      of enchantment, and using this, she
      can cause anyone to see anything she wishes
      , or overlook things she wants them to.
      Once control has been established, the
      victim is held until someone can break
      the magic.
    • Foxfire - She can produce lightning
      or fire by rubbing her tails together.
      She can also breath fire, to a
      limited range. Produce small balls of fire,
      and use these as lights as floating
      lanterns.
    • Barrier - By using her tails
      she is capable of producing
      a barrier of sorts against some
      attacks.

    The Feeding
      In order to maintain herself she must
      strip the essence from the listed
      below to survive:
    • The life or spirit
      of humans, generally through sexual
      contact.
    • Feed on other spirits, hunting them and
      devouring them.
    • Feed from the storms and harsh weather
      around them which will eventually quell the
      storm.
    • Feed from starlight, or if
      bold enough, from the warmth of the sun.
      (Main source of food at the moment.)
    The treasure
      (This is the most important
      and special object belonging to the
      Kitsune)
    • Explanation - Sometimes kitsunes are depicted guarding
      a round or pear-shaped ball (hoshi no tama or star ball).
      It is said those who obtain the ball can force the
      kitsune to help them; one theory, though, is that
      the kitsune places a portion of their power
      into this item, while possessing mortals, or while
      in human form. Kitsune must keep their promises or
      suffer a deterioration in their rank and power.
    • Always worn around her neck well hidden underneath her clothing at all times.
