• Description

  Outside of work Ben usually wears jeans, geeky t-shirts, and sneakers. He prefers comfort over style since most of the time he has to wear a uniform with bullet vest included. So if he could avoid anything uncomfortable he would. Because of his military background he tends to keep his hair cut neatly not letting it get over grown or out of control. Even outside of work he usually carries a gun on his person though he really would prefer not to have to shoot someone outside of work (that is even MORE paper work than shooting someone while at work!)
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  

  

• Background

  Ben grew up with a pretty strict home life. His mother left when he was too young to actually remember her leaving him to be raised by a single father. His father did his best to raise Ben on his own but naturally Ben acted out when he hit his teens making things even more difficult for his father. However his father was a military man and decided he would just have to start treating his son just like he did the officers under him at work. Surprisingly Ben responded better than expected and by time he graduated high school he made the choice to follow in his father's footsteps.
  
  Currently, however, he chose to become part of law enforcement specializing in high stress situations. Bombs tend to be his favorite to be called out for even though it means someone is probably in trouble. Outside of work he doesn't live a very hectic life (leaving all that for work time!). He lives alone rather happily uncaring of the loneliness most people would hate.

• Magical!

  The one thing that makes Ben stand out is the magic running through his veins thanks to his mother's side. Whenever his father was at work and could not leave Ben alone he'd leave him with his grandmother. Since Ben's father really wasn't that accepting of the magic side of things Ben's grammy would teach him his lessons quietly letting him know he wasn't to tell his father about it. And his magic has saved his rear on more than one occasion. His coworkers think he's just lucky but he knows the real reason, a very good spell. There are some things he never got very good at. Spells to help himself heal, however he can do a real nice stitching spell which has helped others in the past too. With any magic there is a price. A very hefty spell can really drain Ben of a lot of energy. Thanks to his teaching he would never chose to do anything that would fall under 'dark' magic. He was taught good and well just what kinds of bad things happen to witches who try to use their magic to harm others.
