  Computer and Electronics repair: James maintains, repairs, and builds both computers and electronics for clients.   A male with tanned skin and Mediterranean-looking features with dark brown dreadlocks hanging just below his shoulderblades. He wears a dark blue short sleeved labcoat jacket speckled with silver studs at the hems and pocket lines over a grey button-up shirt. Black cargo shorts with bulging pockets cover his lower half and black leather boots both looking somewhat worn. A tag-less black backpack always at least half-full hangs from his shoulders and round blue-lensed glasses with silver colored rims are perched on his nose which is usually close to his cell-phone screen.

• What could be inferred.

  James' accent, verbage, and small details in his appearance suggest that he's a native to NYC likely lower-middle class and familiar with street culture. He can spot demons, vamps, weres, certain mages, and wraiths and is likely to give them a second look so through observation it could be assumed that he's at least not one of the cattle-humans. By the types and amount of technology on him he's at least a power-user and likely more than that. Even when he does have his earbuds in and obviously on full volume he appears aware of things that could be dangerous around him somehow. He has the scent of a Siren on him, enough that it could be inferred that he's close to one, but not a Siren himself.

• Background/History

  Born and raised in New York City, living alternatively in the Bronx and Manhattan swapping between his mother and father who were both youths when they ended up in America. His Dad was the poor one and his Mom the rich one which might or might not have something to do with the divorce. Regardless the streets are something he's been around all of his life, whether it's the rough and dirty alleys filled with hoodlums, or the more privileged youths hanging around cafes and parks in more relative safety.
  Going from one to the other never left him with the respect of thugs with the nicer things from his Mom, nor the acceptance of the richer kids due to his rough speech and mannerisms. The only group that didn't either push him away or attempt to use him were the nerds, geeks, and freaks. There he started to study code and realize there was another burgeoning world out there on the world wide web and encompassed in the mystery of technology's edge. A mystical place where he could know more than most other people and not have to take the effort of fitting in because he was expected to be socially inept. They might not invite you to the fancy parties but you can score some beer money making sure it was pretty tough to hack their accounts or fix their computers after they'd looked at too much midget porn.
  James dove into this world with gusto, and even managed an AAOT degree to rush through college for a computer science degree with a minor in electronics engineering. This did not lead to riches and the easy life, but along with a flood of other nerds emerging from college would end him up in technical support. It was more than minimum wage, and enough to get a decent place with a garage to stash a car that wasn't a heap as well as keep him in enough technological toys to entertain him. It's not the best life, but he's dodged the need for food stamps or assistance programs.
  Mainly out of boredom he began running freelance repair services which allowed for entry into countless homes and businesses. Primarily he would aim for bar and venue sound systems for the promises of free booze, shows, and tasty bar food as well as extra cash. Breaking into the world of crime he's placed a few things in a bunch of systems in the big city bringing him into the social sphere with the less than savory element plus their trust fund and party kids. His work brought him into contact with a woman who crafted a funky kind of dubstep and a way of looking at life that was too adorable to ignore. She brought a fresh set of eyes to his side that he found very difficult to let go of, even if she did come with a bird that consistently attempted to remove his fingers. When she left after two years of eccentric co-habitation and what James would have called just short of love at the time life changed.
  With absence the heart grows fonder, was the lesson. Though as her request for help in her new home buzzed over the phone James up and transferred down to where she was. Selling off years of accumulated stuff that comes with living down to what would fit in his 1970 Nova, (not a whole lot) and drove to Louisiana, an alien if not welcome change to get back into the life he wanted.
