Elemental Proficiency
Fire: The witch's strongest affinity, her control over fire is significantly more sophisticated than her practice with the other elements. Unlike her dominion over water or air, Feiyan can cause fire to manifest with the voluntary shedding of her blood and control the size, shape, and temperature thereafter or extinguish the summoned flame with her will. Vulnerable to the elements, fire not of her own making can still cause damage, burns, and death, however it will respond to her manipulation like any other. Water: The witch cannot manipulate water in any capacity, but she can sense poison and other impurities in the element. This sense is conferred to teas, coffees, and other water-brewed beverages, but does not include all liquids. Earth: Much like water, Feiyan has no innate control over the Earth itself, but she has the capacity to accurately detect the medicinal properties of plants she can touch, smell, or taste. Living or freshly cut vegetation is the easiest to discern, but even dried or desiccated plant material can be identified with enough effort or volume. All effects are significantly reduced in Feiyan due to a natural immunity, and in order to achieve the same benefit, greater quantities are necessary. Air: The most difficult of the two elements Feiyan can control, air requires a great deal of concentration, patience, and finesse that she frankly lacks. Conjuring even a stiff breeze takes more effort than she is willing to bother with and thus she has never improved this skill.
