She is a constantly-evolving character who is subject to change, though for now she's got all sorts of basic and more in-depth information on SAINT.     Some say leopards cant change their spots. Well that's because those people are STOOPID. You see Djanira a very tall leopard/lion hybrid who's about 6'5 tall. That means she's tall enough to defend Lebron James on the court and use her hips to bump into people and not draw a foul. She's Portugese, so that means she can speak another language besides English. She is currently in the atrium touching her hair.

    IC UPDATES
    07/16/16 ▪ Had a rather interesting reunion with Eleos, and received a token of his affections in the form of an ornately carved E above her left breast, at the heart.

    09/01/17 ▪ Having been freed of her chains (at least for now), the leoponess is now attempting to wriggle her way into the affairs of patrons and those of a more noble caste, her services slowly becoming known by her peers.

    01/15/18 ▪ Purchased a particularly useful dagger from Ryuo, and will no doubt be seeking him out in the future to craft more tools.

    02/20/18 ▪ Has been diligent in establishing herself on the island, and has taken an interest in numerous individuals, both patron and slave. There are quiet whispers circulating about her more clandestine affairs, especially those pertaining to the entertainment of others. She has remained quiet on the matter.

    02/26/18 ▪ Has enlisted the services of Humiliate to tutor her in the common tongue; in exchange as well as his extended rental fee, she has offered to teach him her native tongue, Portuguese. It appears to be the makings of a beneficial collaboration.

    03/22/18 ▪ After having first spied someone of her home culture in the atrium, was soon acquainted with Itzamatul. He is god-touched, and the first reminder of home she has had in some time. He is already of value to her.

    04/26/18 ▪ Has encountered some difficulty with an outside influence over her profession, and it has put her in physical danger. She appears somewhat disheveled, paranoid and fatigued, as if she has not been able to sleep. She also sports numerous bruises and other damage to her body.

    06/14/18 ▪ Has been spending an extensive amount of time in the port towns adjacent to Guildereim, communicating with their brothels. There have been whispers of the makings of a courtesan’s guild on Guildereim, though the plans are still very much in their fledgling stage.

    05/27/22 ▪ Spotted in Guildereim's halls once more, the leoponess has gone through a few (involuntary) cosmetic adjustments: gold-capped canine teeth, a prosthetic left ring finger, and gold-capped dew/support claws on her feet.

    𝘙𝘜𝘔𝘖𝘜𝘙𝘚

    Seeing as the leoponess has begun the process of making herself more of a noted figure in the halls, there are a few things one might come to know (or have heard) about her. These are somewhat questionable facts, and are subject to debunking. They include;

    ▪ She performs hexes and spells to entice others into relenting to her will, and to be more generous with their spending.

    ▪ She refers to herself as a “healer” when asked about her profession; this is only a half-truth. Her true occupation is hidden from the general public, and is only known to a very select group of individuals.

    ▪ She bathes in the blood, sweat, tears and other bodily fluids of others in order to grow stronger and more ‘powerful’.

    ▪ For the right price, she will assist others in the act of ‘purging their darkness’ by performing ritualistic bondage, bloodletting and even dismemberment as a method of ‘intensive rehabilitation’. However, she will not enact said rituals on lessers, like slaves, or those who cannot give consent.

    ▪ She frequently hosts multiple-individual sessions (orgies) where themes such as cannibalism and expression through more severe forms of bondage are present.

    ▪ During the time before she was on the island and was forcibly enslaved, she was used as a diviner by those who had captured her, and her services - fortune telling being the highest commodity - were offered in trade to those they sought to network with. Word of her mystic talent has been spread to many areas, though not many know her by a name other than Espejo, or 'Looking Glass'.

    ▪ She has made a pact with the Devil himself in exchange for prolonging her life and beauty, but in return sacrificed a part of her soul.

    ▪ To reclaim the lost part of her soul, she draws the life force out of the breath of her sleeping lovers, slowly killing them over time. This is why she has never been seen with a male suitor.

    ＳＥＥＫＩＮＧ

    C L I E N T S | Djanira works primarily as a consultant and judge of quality of "greener" or more freshly-trained escorts. She works with Madames of various houses on the mainland in order to determine proper methods of training in pleasure-focused companionship, and is quite talented in honing a worker's particular skillset in order to assure a higher income for them and their house. On Guildereim, her services can be offered to those who own companionship or pleasure-focused thralls, and while she predominantly works with femme workers, she is more than willing to take on other workers at request. In a sense, she could be considered a mentor or teacher, but prefers to hold a much less formal title, approaching fellow workers at their comfort level.

    E S C O R T S | Both from Guildereim and the mainland (connection will be established OOCly for the latter to give context), Djanira has entangled herself with many in her profession, both professionally and personally. She is admittedly quite promiscuous and has caused issues within certain circles of workers because of this, so having conflict from former partners could also be entertaining. Otherwise, she is more than happy to forge new connections with other workers on the island and to offer her insight and connections.

    P U R G E R S | Is your character suffering from a mental, physical, or spiritual ailment? Clinging too strongly to their vices? Are they willing to crawl from Hell to be reborn? She will guide them down the path to rehabilitation, or perhaps stoke the fires further...

    O B S E S S I O N S | Djanira is meant to be an incredibly intense and in some ways highly negative character. She is meant to test the boundaries of connection and obsession, addiction in and to others, and to question a character's morality. Because of that, I'd love to develop darker, meatier plots where she either becomes mutually or singularly obsessed with another individual or multiple individuals, where there is a level of horror aspect. This could manifest in "lighter", more naïve characters becoming increasingly attached to her and succumbing to her influence, equally deplorable characters developing a parasitic relationship with her, or someone attempting to "cleanse" or purify her of her increasingly darkened state through obsessive fixation on healing and repentance.

    H O R R O R | Ultimately this character revolves around horror/gore scenes, tied into her religious fanaticism. Thus, there will be plenty of violence, aggression, sacrifice, mutilation and otherwise. Have a character who gets a kick out of spilling a little blood? Someone who's a glutton for punishment? Look no further.

    O C C U L T I S T S | In the same breath, I am actively seeking others with similar inclinations toward the occult - other cultures and religious backgrounds are welcome, as Djanira readily devours any information on complimentary gods and godfigures as well as subjects related to hedonism and general debauchery. Does your character practice magic, of both the white and dark varieties? She is eager to learn them to heighten her awareness of the spiritual plane.
