Hikaru is a character used on the text based MMORPG called Furcadia in the dream of Ward Six, and her continuity follows as such. Not to be confused with the variation of the character that I play in New Versailles. Even though they are the same character, they exist on two different lines of continuiy. What happens to Karu in WS isn't applicable for NV. Both variations have the same history, however, there are major key differences between them, and they possess different alts.

Furcadia is where most of the RP I do with Karu happens, and I highly prefer to use the game client to do so. This is because I have a tendency to read over PMs and don't always have the time to reply after I read them, which leads me to forgetting. As a result, I end up feeling terribly guilty when I receive a new message and realize I've neglected someone.

I am, however, willing to participate in RP outside of Furcadia, but I do ask for a bit of understanding. As well as a bit of help remembering that I owe you a post, a gentle nudge whenever you think I need it. Bam! I will, however, not take excessive amounts of RPs outside the client. One or two at a time until a scene is concluded is my limit. So, if I turn you down for them, please do not get offended! It's very likely I already have a couple others that I'm working through.

As this character has recieved a lot of PMs and inquiries, as general rule of thumb, I would like to point a few things out! By deciding to interact with this character, you acknowledge that you have read over my preference guidelines and agree with them. Likewise, I'll be respectful towards your preferences, too.

You are not, under any circumstances, permitted to use any of the artwork you see posted on this profile. I've invested my time and money into my character, and every piece of art that you see here was paid for out of pocket. Any other characters seen using any of the artwork displayed here, or the clear theft of the design in any form, will be dealt with accordingly. I do not take Copyright Infringement lightly. Not everyone is familiar with it, and I see far too many people that use other's artwork and designs as OC references. Don't be confused, using a collaboration of images for references of a particular thing to create a new character is entirely fine. So long as said character isn't an intentional rip off of anyone else's. Let's face it, some characters out there are bound to have similar details, and that's perfectly fine. However, to give an OC the same tattoos, in the same placement, and scars as one you've seen before? Give them a history near fine line to another's past? That isn't acceptable. As flattering as some might think that is, it's actually very offensive and incredibly hurtful. Just don't do it.

Hikaru is incredibly abrasive, and she likes it that way. Please do not hold anything she might do against me, as a player. I will always play her true to her nature, which is why I cannot guarantee a plot will go 100% to plan. There are many situations where I'd be reading a post, and anticipate Hikaru to do one thing - and she does something off the wall different. I can't always anticipate what will or won't happen, but I do love plots! Don't let that scare you away, half the fun of plotting is the unexpected.

I would like to ask the obvious, and do not take any information from this RPR and automatically assume your OC would know instantly. That's not how I like to operate. I enjoy watching characters figure each other out, or just completely fail at it. Any and all information you retain from this RPR is classified as OOC information. This includes Guestbook comments, gif wars, kudos, and everything else. I say this because, as a player, you know much more information about a character than your OC would. The only acception I make to this is determined on case by case scenario. For example, if your character is a telepath, I would still like to establish some bits and pieces that your OC wouldn't be able to pick out of her brain by just looking at her. Communication is important, if you're not sure about something? Ask!
