  There are often questions that someone asks themselves over and over again that they use for a basis of self reflection. In the case of Ishutani. "How long has it been?" Ishutani was born and raised on a planet who forsook it's name after a day of tragedy. Prior to this day, she lived a rather fruitful life as a scientist for one of the three major groups known as the Federation. Days went on without a single ounce of sleep until her body gave out and she could be found laying face down on one of the desks. The computer screen often in these cases had diagrams, charts, numbers, names and the like on its display being the only source of light in the room. No one below a specific pay grade knew just what it was that kept this woman up from sunset until sunrise.
