  • ▼ The Dogs ▼

    Lester has two dogs, both of which are trained as guard dogs for his home, neither are hunting dogs.
    These dogs have been trained to be incredibly hostile towards trespassers and new people until told to stand down, and they will attack. Once they've been told that the person is okay, they're generally friendly animals who'd be far more likely to drool all over someone than bite them.
    Both of Lester's dogs were acquired as 'rescues,' or in the case of Brutus - just flat out stolen because he didn't like the owner.

    The moral of the story: Don't go on Lester's porch unless invited.

  • TINY
    Tiny is a very large male standard American Bulldog. He runs about 140 pounds on a lean day and is white with a few red splotches. He's about five years old.
    Lester acquired Tiny by pulling him out of a barn fire when he was a puppy, and as a result, Tiny has some fairly heavy burn scarring and a missing eye, along with various scars and dings from the fact that he's prone to bullying any other dogs (aside from Brutus) that happen to wander up in the yard.
    Lester dotes on him, and this dog sleeps over the foot of Lester's bed at night.


  • BRUTUS
    Brutus is a two year old brindle American Staffordshire Terrier, otherwise known as a pit bull. He has the typical cropped ears and docked tail.
    He's more excitable than Tiny and is still very much a puppy at heart, much to Lester's consternation where dinner is concerned. Brutus can and will steal as many table scraps* as he can, and according to Lester, he's "too goddamn cute for his own good" and generally gets away with murder.
    Brutus, when it comes to guarding the house, tends to hang back and let Tiny do the potential mauling.




    * though this may get a little more concerning when one considers the fact that lester eats people
