Kelstai is complex and conflicting; he struggles to accept what he is and battles with it constantly. He wants the best for people and always looks to help. Kindness and generosity run through his veins and others find themselves easy friends with him. Yet, there is a darker side to him that he fights to maintain control of; a deep yearn to cause chaos and fantasies of revenge on those who have ever wronged him. Easily, he becomes envious of others but tries his best not to let it show. For all of his altruism, he remains strangely distant from people and makes a point never to get too close. Friendly acquaintances may be many, but actual friends are few and far between. Though to others he may come off as confidant and together, inside Kelstai knows he is cowardly. He is an extrovert primarily. He has little to no issues with large crowds or being the center of attention, but he isn't one to draw that attention towards himself. Readily, he'll take leadership roles. He gladly takes on charity and volunteer work, and in fact he spends most of his free time doing just that. Intimacy, perhaps the one thing he craves most, must be abstained from or else he risks losing focus and thus control. Even nonsexual intimacy is avoided, just in case. To keep others safe from himself, he must suffer profound loneliness and isolation.
