  Two. This is the number of times death has come knocking at this feline's soul. The first time was death at the hands of a vampire, before he came close to flirting with death once more after that. Having his heart ripped away and left to bleed out, it was either accept fealty to a new Lacuna... or embrace true death. But luck smiled on him one more time, as his body was rescued by a member of the Trys'tets. A race of plant-type beings, powerful by nature. But to preserve his life, it had to be first consumed, and then remade. A painful process, as the body is literally dissolved from the inside and rebuilt in the form of a living, sentient plant. Reborn anew, Dawson Capris is no longer a Furre, nor a vampire, but a purebreed Trys'tet. A being with the strength and power to easily and single-handedly overwhelm even the strongest of vampire beings. As one might expect, this race of creatures has a past and history as vampire hunters. The collar from the Tether puts a severe inhibitor on his strength, however. While bound in the tether, he is barely that much stronger than the average furre.

  Traits
  The trys’tet have numerous physical properties that define them based upon the type of plant they are, but they all possess several traits in common with one another.
  
  Regeneration
  Trys’tet are capable of incredible rates of regeneration. They do, however, require that their sap is able to harden over wounds inflicted so that they are better able to regenerate without difficulty. Once the sap crystalizes over the wound, healing is rapid, healing minor injuries in only seconds, major injuries in minutes, even wounds one would classify as mortal or fatal heal in only a day or two. Severed limbs can be regrown, taking about a week to grow back, though should the severed limb be recoverable, they can simply graft it back on and treat healing time as a “heavy wound”.
  
  Plant Speech
  All trys’tet are capable of speaking to plants, and speaking to each other in the same manner. To the casual observer, it is not unlike leaves rustling in the wind, such conversations going unnoticed.
  
  Shapeshifting
  Trys’tet are capable of changing forms as they desire. The process takes time, however, as their body requires to contract or expand to fill the new form, Small alterations only take a minute or two, while complete form shifting can take upwards to ten minutes. The only forms they can nearly instantaneously transform to is their plant form and their furre form as those come most naturally.
  
  Fire Weakness
  All of them are severely weak to fire, though there are occasional exceptions to this as there have been some that are resistant to it or outright immune due to plant type or special abilities. Wounds inflicted by fire leave scars providing the trys’tet is weak to fire. Dawson, however, is one of the rare exceptions, and has retained his immunity to fire.
  
  Holy Weakness
  This one is non-negotiable. All trys’tet are weak to holy as their body is aligned to the negative energy plane, causing positive energy to be uncomfortable. Healing spells do not heal them, and holy attacks prevent their sap from hardening. Wounds inflicted by holy weapons leave scars.
  
  Abilities
  The physical and mental attributes of a trys’tet is determined by their plant type. There are several categories of plants that gift the trys’tet supernatural attributes.
  
  Strength/Intelligence
  Trys’tet with these attributes tend to be highly tactical and analytical as they are strong and thinkers. Plants that encompass these attributes are usually sturdy, wise and long-lived. (Examples: Weeping Willow, Oak, Redwood, Yew) - Dawson is a Willow.
  
  Ability Score Detriment
  All trys’tet have a single ability score that cannot ever be increased beyond medium/average (DnD terms, cannot be raised above a 10). This cannot be changed by any means, not even a god or a wish can alter this penalty.
  
  Specials
  This is a difficult thing to put any concrete categories in. All trys’tet have a special ability of some kind, gifting them one supernatural ability that they may or may not need to learn to harness and control. These are usually potentially quite strong. Some examples of this include psionic capabilities, strong magic affinity to other things. This ability cannot be related to their core attributes (Such as being a strength/dexterity trys’tet and their special being intelligence. That is a no-no) - At this time, it is undetermined what Dawson's is.
