  • "...'But who are you exactly?' She stayed silent for a moment.
    'Your worst nightmare, I guess.'
         		'That means?'
    She singhed heavily and looked at him straight in the eyes.
         		'A nightmare demon, idiot. I'm a nightmare demon.'"
  • Nightmare demons are pretty strange. You won't see one, until they'll want you to, you won't be able to talk to them, until they'll want you to. And then they come out to "real world" and they're hopeless and weak. Ha, ha, no.
    So, this type of a demon is almost immortal. They don't age, don't get illnesses, can't be killed a normal way. Well, at least not until they'll come out of someone's mind. As creatures with an actual body, they won't be able to do anything they can do while being in this hi-I'm-immaterial-state.
    Their work is pretty simple. They only get into someone's mind, make him have a terrible night full of screaming and sweating and leave when a dream demon comes to "clean up" after them. Victims of the night are usually random and (let's be honest) weak.
    So, you can say that they're posers with big (and evil) imagination.
