• History of Life

  Taxidermist was named after the way he displayed his victims after their deaths, by first devouring their organs, stuffing them with whatever he got his hands on, and mounting them like art for the world to see.
  But we are getting ahead of ourselves...
  
  Taxi began as a dormant egg, once belonging to a bird(The breed now unknown to him). This egg was brought to a secret facility determined to recreate extinct animals as well as creating new ones. These scientists wanted to play God. And they did!
  
  3 years in, the scientists would notice movement within the egg. Having injected DNA from other creatures, traits settled and created something within the egg, which finally showed signs of life after long years of hard work. Life inside as well as growing on the outside. What traits took shape they could not know until later on.
  
  At age 4, Taxi finally began to break his inhabitants. Like a bird, he used a sharp prick that had formed on his soft beak. But, he also used his hands to push the shell apart after the cracks were formed! The scientists were shocked, disgusted, bewildered... There were simply no words to describe the child they had created. At hatching, he was the size of a 4-year-old... The size the egg had become.
  
  Taxidermist was given a name and taught many things, but among the kind human creatures were also those who detested the abomination of nature. What child had a beak, antlers, wings and a reptilian tail?! And those eyes... Always hungry. At Age 6, Taxi had learned to speak, though the words were difficult to form with a beak. But with some time, he managed to create the sounds in a hoarse tone. He could walk, talk, and anything else in which a age 6 child could.
  
  As his 16th birthday came, Taxi was first attacked by one of his many fathers. While he slept in the cage he had been provided all his life, one of the scientists came in and woke him with a treat! He had never eaten sweets before and, in the man's hand, was a piece of candy made specially for him. He ate it in one quick movement.
  When morning came, Taxi couldn't breathe, as if something had swollen inside of his chest. The scientists gathered around with a doctor that specialized in animal behavior and, after several hours and one painful operation, they managed to remove the drug that had been harming him... The man hadn't been punished for this and tried many more times in the future to harm him.
  
  Taxidermist survived for 19 years, living among scientists that both wanted him dead and alive. Those were preferred creatures born adorable and beautiful, without the traits they had forced upon the creature. He was a form of both gentle and carnivorous and would never see the outside world. He learned that well.
  But, when one of the scientists brought another human in, his content with this fact could no longer contain him.
  
  She was beautiful, with long red hair and green eyes. She was human. The daughter of one of the men who wanted to see what her father did every day. He wanted to meet her. Say hello, but was forced to stay in hiding in his cage. But he wouldn't listen. How could he when this was the first female he'd ever meet? He got out and hid, simply watching as everyone moved around at first. Only when she left toward the restroom did he come out. He waited for her to finish her business and, when she walked through the door, he came out to greet her--
  Before Taxi got a word out she screamed, alerting those close enough. His ears back and eyes wide, he tried to calm her down. Grabbed her and tried to quiet her, but she fought against him. Then she suddenly stopped moving.
  
  Taxidermist didn't kill her, however. No, it hadn't been a claw, or the break of bones, but a gun shot. A shot meant for himself. He trembled, letting the body fall to the floor as the other scientists stopped the man who did it. Attempting to kill him, doing experiments on him... All those things were okay. But to want to feel loved, to be beautiful, to be wanted... And the one he want it from to fear him and then die...
  
  Was he truly ugly? Disgusting? Fearsome? Rage built in his eyes and Taxi, so gentle, freed the true beast within himself. With a hiss and a lash of his tail, he killed every single man and beast within the facility. Losing his mind, he devoured every inch until there was nothing but bloody, ripped shells which decorated every wall, inside and out. Each stuffed with the very equipment they had used to create and torment the beast known as Taxidermist.
