Amenset

Amenset was born in Karnak, Egypt. Her parents were worshipers of many of Egypt's gods. They were of noble blood, enabling her the ability to take practice in many things that the women of Egypt were opened to. As nobles, Amenset's parents were involved in the Pharaoh's court. Her father was one of his many advisers, and her mother was a lady of the court. Meaning that she helped care for the Pharaoh's wives and children. Amenset grew up with the family of royals and when she reached a good age, the Pharaoh's eldest son took her for his wife. (Around 25, while Amenset was 16) They ruled together after the Pharaoh's passing.

Throughout their marriage, Amenset partook in many of life's pleasures. Including drugs, copious amounts of wine, dangerous chariot racing, and group orgies. Some may argue that her husband drew her into all of this against her will. Another may say she was equally as eager as he was or even that she was the one who dragged him into it. It did not take long for the people to express their anger about the way the pair spent more time enjoying being nobles instead of running their kingdom. Historians will forever debate who started it all.


Amenset had three children during her marriage: Two male, one female. At a young age the second boy died. Amenset believed he was murdered. She feared her son's death was a result of the gods punishing her for her selfish and tumultuous behavior. The death of her son finally brought her to her senses and she dedicated herself to Amun-Ra as a priestess. This was something no married woman had ever done. Certainly not the Pharaoh's wife. While she tried to make up for her younger years, the people were fed up and did not believe she had changed.

Her husband died some years later of reasons unknown. She continued to raise the young girl while her son became the new Pharaoh, who did little to change many of his parents mistakes even at his mother's behest. Amenset grew closer to Amun-Ra, and she was blessed with the staff she still carries to this day. A revolution pulled her family apart, many killed or sold into slavery. Whether or not any are still alive... She does not know and may not even recognize them if she saw them.

Over time and with many reincarnations, Amenset has lost all of the memories of her past. She recalls living in Egypt and finding Amun-Ra but she has no recollection of her husband or her family. She has no memory of how she came to be enthralled. She retains her training but can only remember some of the training. From time to time she catches glimpses of her past life but they're broken and she has no way of knowing if they're memories or just dreams.




*When experiencing certain things, Amenset's personality may revert back to her early days as a queen. She may act out verbally or physically. This is becoming an increasing problem for her.


*Alcohol, drugs, physical roughness, & being emotionally overwhelmed are all triggers for this behavior.
