• Story

  Born in a society of furs trained to keep the population of demons under control, Tessa Kepson was destined for glory in her tribe. She was the daughter of the Hest or leader of the tribe, and always got the best training, weapons, and contracts. The only thing she ever wanted was the attention of her father, who was always preoccupied with his position. When he passed, Tessa declined her birthright giving her friend Max the place instead, preferring a life among the hunters.

• Initiation

  Those born in the Red-Wolf tribe are given a mixture of very potent poisonous herbs at birth, those who survive are trained from age eight, to hunt demons. They are taken to a sacred tree, where they drink the waters making them stronger than normal furs and allowing them to see the demons they hunt. The waters purge evil from them making them impossible to possess. The only side-effect is that their eyes turn a deep glowing amber: a telltale sign of their kind. They are then trained in arts of either hand-to-hand, archery, or Swordsmanship. They study witchcraft allowing them to cast devastating offensive spells. Their training ends at age nineteen were they begin hunting the abominations.
