Born and raised in and around New Orleans, Lousiana, Jason was an adventurous youth; as young boys are apt to do, he was taken to exploring in places that shouldn't be explored. One night, at the age of fifteen, he ventured too far into the bayou and was attacked by what he assumed was a particularly nasty 'dog' that had been trailing him and a group of friends. It was a life-changing experience, for the 'dog' was a rougarou - legendary werewolf of the bayou - and the teen would quickly learn to adapt to his new 'curse.' He'd put his supernatural abilities to good use after high school, becoming a police officer , with his heightened senses aiding in his work.
