• Background

  Zadane was born to a loving family in central Tokyo. He was never without even though his family was not wealthy. As he turned 10 he found he shared an ability with those of his father's line, he could see colors and hues around people. His father would push for him to never make mention or speak of the abnormal ability, but one fateful summer just after his 10th birthday he would be visiting his grandparents accidentally letting it slip he could see those colors to his grandfather. Over the course of that summer, he was informed he comes from a line of aura manipulators a tradition his father had since chosen to abandon. He would spend that summer and many more over the 7 years following training to gain understanding and mastery over the ability and the powers that come with it. In the 5th year of his training, he had progressed enough to select which of the auras he would devote himself to Manipura or the aura of self-energy and willpower.
  In between summers with his grandparents, he would spend his time doing almost stereotypical things expect of anyone from Asian descent. He kept his grades up and chores done leaving what little free time he had to one or two hobbies, the first of which being Jujutsu. He discovered a local academy for the art at age 13, finding it to be a great way to release stress and keep himself in good shape for the summers with his grandfather. The other he found a love for skateboarding, drawn to it by a group of friends from his class one weekend, and from then on it was like he was inseparable from the board.
  At age 17 he lost his grandfather and subsequently being sent to what his parents thought was a school for academically gifted he would find what he thought was his calling. The academy itself was for gifted youngsters, some with superhuman abilities. Zadane would manage to make a few friends and even start to develop connections with a fellow female upper-classman. Tragedy followed as a war between those with these abilities broke out resulting in the destruction of his then home and sending him catapulted through a dimensional rift leaving him stranded in a new world.
