Father's history- male native slave that was captured and traveling on a merchant ship that was exploring new trade routes, who stumbled upon the shrine after reaching port. His Master wished to see the shrine after hearing of the rumors one night at the local bar. Not much is known of the strikingly handsome and strong male, he was never seen again by either of them.
Mother's name: Kimiko Hana Kurōtadori

Mother's history- beautiful female shaman that fell in love with a lowly native slave brought to her small inn during a visit to the quiet village of her hometown. They shared stolen moments, finding affection, warmth, and comfort in each others' arms after an instant physical pull of attraction, only a few days before the cursed full moon approached. Her spirit guardian, the glorious blackbird, (while she was in a very deep mediation allowing the spirit animal to roam free outside the body during a rare blood red moon) was bitten by his powerful Gevaudan/beast form in an uncontrollable situation, thus connecting the two beings spiritually and eventually physically, proving so as their daughter was born from the two, Ōkami (狼) and Kurōtadori. He shortly disappeared from port a few days later, unable to stop said events from happening as his Master discovered them and had him brought back to the ship in shackles. He didn't go without a fight, unfortunately escorted by too many men.
Kimiko then went to the Shinto temple nearby her home to raise her daughter in secrecy; fearful of her being discovered and unsure what her offspring was going to become with such creatures uniting as one in the body of single female.(re-writing, adding more details)

Born in the 1700s, exact year unknown.
She was sheltered in a powerful Shinto shrine at the foot of a holy mountain until the age of seventeen where she was then trusted to go out into the world on her own.
Left to travel with a monk, both sent on a journey to find their meaning in this world and hopefully peace of mind. (Her mother having passed away during her absence which she learned through a letter sent from the temple.) Eventually she had to leave the monk's cherished company as well, after years one begins to notice the wrinkle free beauty at their side. She couldn't risk questions so they parted, never seeing him again though letters were occasionally exchanged through out their separate journeys until one day they just stopped.
She tried not to dwell on it, focusing on the upcoming war as she took up arms, disguising herself as a male and becoming part of the royal army. The monk's companionship was the closest thing she had experience to friendship so she drown herself in the blood shed of battle, ignoring her own hurt of losing someone else... the beginning of many. Eventually she worked her way up in ranks because of her skills and fearlessness, though keeping to herself and carefully out of the way of most. Finally, she succeeded in joining the highest ranks available, that of the samurai -- undergoing vigorous training and discipline that she would carry with her for the rest of her life.
Once the wars were over, she retired back to her roots, taking over her precious temple as Shrine Maiden. She would protect the sweet, quiet village for years until wanderlust struck her once more, tricking another female to take her place as guardian so she could explore the world ... Stumbling upon the island of the Golden Tether. More to come as story develops (will be rewriting to add more details and experiences.)
though she won't admit it, she looked for her dad a few times... often describing his ship at the docks they rested at during her travels though nothing ever came of it.
