  Ocular is from an Epic Spelljammer game which used DND 3.5 rules. For those that find such things amusing, he has a pdf sheet detailing class levels, skills, gear and special abilities. While all epic games are a bit silly to play simply because they represent power beyond the scope of a normal game, this one was taken as seriously as possible. Ocular is extremely powerful, but "If it has stats, you can kill it."

• Generic Beholder Information

  Beholders have 11 eyes, 10 eyestalks and one large central eye. Each eye functions independently of the others, and offers clear visual data which the beholder processes as quickly and naturally as we do the information gained from our two eyes. As a result, beholders can see everything around them at all times, regardless of direction, with depth perception and greater detail than human eyes.
  
  Each eye has a separate magical ray it can fire at any target in it's field of view. Due to the fact that the Beholder's own body blocks each eye's field of view slightly, only four eye rays may be fired at any particular target at any particular moment. The beholder can rotate enough to select any four eye rays, many of which are quite deadly all by themselves.
  
  The Central Eye, when open, creates an Anti-Magic Cone, 150' long, with a 150' diameter base. The powers of the other eyes are the same as the spells of the same name, except that they operate as rays with a range of 180'.

• Spelljammer

  Ocular is from a Spelljammer campaign. In short Spelljammer is DND in space. The ships are magic, not technological, so don't get stuck on physics entirely. The magic Helm which propels and maneuvers a ship creates a horizontal gravity plane through the ship, along it's longest point. Generally a ship is constructed so that one of the decks is in line with this gravity plane, to eliminate the central point where objects float weightlessly as much as possible. When a gravity plane is brought into an air pocket, either another ship or a planet, the two air pockets merge nearly instantly. In the case of a habitable planet, this refreshes the oxygen in the ship's air pocket. In the case of a ship, anything is possible depending on the previous state of the two air pockets. When two ships come in contact, the gravity plane on the smaller ship is overridden by the larger ship. Ramming smaller ships at funny angles causes all sorts of havoc. Very large objects, like planets, have 'normal' spherical gravity wells, which override any ship's gravity plane when they contact the atmosphere.
