A scroll encased in a cylinder of obsidian metal with filigree eastern dragons upon it would arrive to Lady Alistair's door. Then casing would unroll to reveal, fine rice paper parchment in neat intricate black calligraphy script. The words embellished with a glint of gold outline. It read:
"Offer for Martial Trainings
It has been brought to my attention by one of my Generals that he had been approached by one called Ceowyn with a curiosity for chi manipulation. I very seldom offer my services to the public but should the boy prove capable and worth my efforts I; Zhongshi of the Juiqi technique might see fit to aid him in his journey. Should this be of interest to you. Please send reply with a time and place to properly meet and discuss terms."
The letter was signed with thick brush strokes of the name Juiqi and sealed with a crimson dragon embossed wax. The hanzi for Nine at the center.
