    • Occupation: A Criminal on her home planet, She is still trying to find her niche, but tends to be a bit of a therapist and confidant and occassionally advocate for those around her
    • Alignment: Varies
    • Special Abilities: Syl is a particularily powerful Empath. Whether she wants to or not she is able to sense the emotional states of others. She is also able to manipuate the emotional states of those around her. This is as troublesome as it is beneficial as Syl is very young still and her power is too strong to fully control, she has not fully harnessed her power leading her to be very suggestable to others, as well as often leaking her own feelings to other people.

    • Body Type: Petite and thin, she is sometimes mistaken for a child initially due to her size, though upon a close look, she is certainly not one.

    • Eyes: Black - There is little to no definition between her Iris and Pupil. She also has a second membrane over her eyes which allow her to see in the daylight, as her eyes are accustomed to darker worlds

    • Orientation: Demisexual on her own, though she can be affected by the emotional states of others.

    • Preferences: Syl tends to like those quite a bit larger then herself, and will typically pick partners based on their emotional complexity rather then Aesthetics.
    • Personality: Syl is still in the process of learning about herself and who she is. SHe is heavily influenced by the emotional states of others, and without the hive-mind, she is discovering a sense of self for the first time. She is quiet and observant above all else, but is also interested in exploring what and who she is.
    • Mannerisms: She bites her lip when she is worried, and massages her temples when she is thinking or stressed. She doesn't really understand lying, and is only just beginning to develop a sense of humor.

    • Dislikes: Violence and hatred. Confrontation, meat, losing touch with herself.
    • Strengths: Loyal, Her empathy is very strong which is both beneficial and troubling, she is charismatic, and very well liked by most who meet her. Extremely Good Night Vision
    • Weaknesses: She lacks control leaving her incredibly susceptible to others strong emotional states, as well as sometime leaking her own and broadcasting to others around her. She also cannot control when or how aware of these feelings she is leading some people to find her intrusive. Not physically threatening. Bright lights are difficult on her eyes.

  • Bio

    Syl is unusual even among her people. While The Qualiant have always been known for their Empathetic link, maintained for the sake of a united society, most possess only the ability to feel the emotions of others. A few though surpass the others in each generation, and these individuals are expected to do great things, there is much pressure on them to harness their gifts as they are meant to be the next generation of Qualiant to upkeep the preservation and sanctity of the hive mind their Empathetic link fosters.

    Syl is among these elite empaths, though she had never really succeeded in the ways expected of her among her own people. She has always had problems with the control of her craft despite plentiful education and tutorage.

    In the end, she was turned away from her homeworld. Excommunicated as her lack of control makes her highly susceptible to the influences of others and threatens the peace and unity of the hive mind, a grave offense in her culture. She is dangerous t their way of life and is considered to be a criminal on her planet through no fault of her own. This is usually punishable by death, however the influence of her parents spared her from that fate.

    There are still those among the Unifiers of her homeworld who would see her destroyed, and maybe forces outside of her home planet that would like to put her in captivity or study for the ability she possesses.

    Among her species, she felt a feeling of community, and a hive mind awareness of every individual around her, Leaving that was hard for her, and often she feels incredibly lonely, even when around others. She is never allowed to return but hopes to one day find a way to.
