Dominic Gregson

Dominic is ultimately capable of, and rather designed for, the most extreme of stories. Ultimately, it will be the limits of the partner that are adhered to, because Dominic as designed ultimately has very, very few limits. There really is almost nothing that's off the table, with him. That's partly the goal, really--to throw aside as many limits as possible, to dive into the perverse and the extreme, as deeply as possible.

What follows are something akin to notes, really. Bits of his history that may well come in. They should not, for the slightest moment, be taken as strictly set in stone. A good story comes first, and I can happily tweak him to make that happen.

Family

Raised and taught the ways of tending chattel by his father Greg Ferguson, Dominic flourished in the art, learning to blend cruelty and kindness to shape a mind however he desired it. His first success came when he was a young teenager, given a girl freshly harvested from a city far away. It took nearly a year, but by the end she was genuinely happy to be branded, to have her plain, painful collar exchanged for fur-lined leather.

His father recently passed, with he and his brother Rudolph inheriting his their father's collection, split evenly between them, though swapping is frequent enough to have made the split almost irrelevant.

Slavery

In years past, slavery was an anonymous, clandestine affair. But in the modern age of digitalization, of databases--everything was modern, cross-referenced, catalogued. It had to be. Some slavers balked at the idea--but not him. He embraced it, working to make contacts across the world, in positions of power, who could protect his operation and receive certain--boons--in return.

Coming with that was the web of people--contacts, supporters, allies--that by necessity had to exist. In such a modern world, nothing like slavery could exist if it weren't for those. Some tried to ignore it, tried to pretend that such modern sensibilities had no place in the business of tending chattel, but not him--he used them to work on building an empire.

Dogs

Another way to gain money and entrench himself in various institutions--as well as being a personal passion--was the dog breeding. Focusing on breeds like Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and such he trained numerous dogs for private security, police forces, and so on. They came guaranteed to be healthy, mentally balanced, and obedient.

Connected to that was his penchant for rescuing dogs--whether they were abandoned on the side of the road or from a dog fighting ring or anything else, he took in any dogs who needed it, including handicapped dogs. Besides giving him a greater range of contacts, more importantly he gave the beasts a home, and a loving one, that they wouldn't have had otherwise, as they were patiently worked with. Even the ones who had to be kept away from others, they were cared for well.
