Description

Warrior; her posture and expression alone the embodiment of stalwart might. Though she kept her feminine charms, bulky plates covered and hid just how womanly she was exactly. The talk on many peasants tongue when she rode through town, a female Knight was an strange sight and often scorned. But she'd proven herself in battle and duel alike on ample occasions. Highly decorated for her courageous deeds within the realm, ribbon and seal scattered upon her more ornamental sets of armor, dent and marks adorned those for combat. Poleaxe her favored weapon, never far from her grasp.
Biography

-- Early career, 16 - 23.

Shortly after she was knighted, albeit to many disgruntled Court members displeasure, Eriada joined the fight in the East, not to seek riches or fame but to prove her worth in the eyes of her peers. And that she did, a sharp tactical mind combined with ever improving martial ability saw Eriada rising up ranks year by year. For over a decade she remained in the hot, dusty barren lands of the East, refusing to return home until their foe was vanquished, very much making a woman of what was once a fresh faced young Knight.

-- Eastern Occupation, 23 - 27.

With the war for the most part over, save the odd pocket of resistance and insurgency, and the army settling in to occupy the conquered territory, the biggest danger of war set in. Boredom. Little things at first began to spring up; greater alcohol consumption, meddling with the civillians. But things only spiral further and further into the depths of human depravity. Fights between animals, men and women. Violence soared out of control; rape, murder and petty brawls scattered the vanquished foreign kingdom. Eriada was no saint during this time, she found herself wrapped up in the world of illegal fighting. Not as a combatant, but instead a trainer and most importantly a wealthy patron to aspiring bare-knuckle brutes.

-- Mid career, 27 - 30.

After returning from the Eastern campaign, Eriada found her beloved homeland ravaged by crime. In the absence of the Crown`s watchfull eye, a surge in criminal behavior threatened to crumble the grand nation economically. With no sign of any other Knights returning for months, the Lionhearted took it upon herself to purge the wrong-doers by any means possible.

Three long, murky years of combating her own kinsmen to return law and order to the Kingdom took their toll, harrowing her trust of others, and though she was by no means innocent of mind what she saw and often forced to do left Eriada's soul tainted, and her mind distant.

-- Mid career, 30 - 34.

There was no rest for Eriada, as from the north came the Wild men hordes, pouring through the treacherous mountain passes that never saw such numbers in their frigid, lethal ravines and gullies for hundreds of years. The men were maddened, driven by an unknown force pushing them to barbaric levels of animosity and violence. They surged into the northern provinces, left nothing unburnt and no not a soul alive or spared from their rampant wickedness.

With the Kingdom still recovering, a small army was assembled to if anything stop the wild men from pushing further south, but despite the best efforts so far the last line of defense steadily fell back ever closer to the Capital.

-- Late career, 34 - Present.

In reward for her service to the Kingdom, when peace finally fell on the lands Eriada was honoured with the rank of General, and she was to be given her own men to command. Though it did not take for the insidious ways of her rivals to deny her even this satisfaction, as instead of being given a regular outfit, Eriada was designated to lord over a ragtag band of non-humans. A rabble of beast men held in disdain by the nobles, for the most part sent on suicide missions though they had a knack for staying alive regardless. Far too proud to refuse the rise in station, she accepted and made it her goal to bring the misfit band from the bottom of the barrel, to glory. One way or another.
