Lost Stars Records The newest indie label to grace California was founded with one very simple principle in mind: Put the artist first. Sharing co-ownership, Jack Dalmaine and Cal Sterling aim to make the big stage more accessible to those who never dreamed it possible. With Cal in Vegas and Jack in California, they simultaneously are putting the spotlight on musicians who easily would be overlooked. Working not just as a record executive, Jack is committed to each and every one of the artists he hand selects, often times lending a hand as a coach or producer of their albums. It isn't a strange sight either, to see Dalmaine join them in studio or even onstage as a guitarist or drummer. Small clubs, bars and even cafes is where Jack can be seen on one of his many "hunts". Sniffing out new talent to offer them a creative platform they never had before. Are you or do you know a musician seeking to reach an audience on a much grander scale? Do you wish to be part of a label that inspires creativity rather than punish it's freedom? Give us a call at: 323-462-6252. The Official Website can be found here. |
It had been a long, hard road for Jack Dalmaine. Then again, when is the music business ever a walk in the park? After two years on a major record label, he quit due to 'creative differences' which is just a fancy way of saying: "The execs basically pulled my strings while I made them money." Oh, that and the CEO killed him. No big deal. Coming back from literal Hell, it gave him a new outlook on where he wanted to go. Partnering up with his longtime best friend and collaborator, they were able to start their own indie record label. Jack immediately went on tour to promote it, hitting every major city in a year. Though he loved every second of it, life on the road made him want a home to come back to. And thus, he settled himself in Basin City. Pounding on doors certainly paid off for him as he soon found himself a permanent venue where he could lend a hand to up and coming musicians, showcasing them in a way they never thought possible. Though that road had it's fair share of obstacles, it led him here, where he wanted to be. It's a new life for Jack Dalmaine. And he cannot wait to live it.
