  Having saved him from certain death, Rowan honors his culture's code on conduct and is grateful but also in debt to her. And even though they bicker like typical cat-vs-dog, he almost considers her an allie. However, as of late, tension has built and friction was stronger. It may be best these two spend some time away otherwise this odd yet functional bond could dissolve.

  This woman of mystery, he's actually taken a liking to... a serious liking. Perhaps it could be some sick fetish of his, being much bigger than her. Ither way, he's seemed to calm down quite a bit from his usual ornery and selfish being. She seems to be playing hard to get, Won't stop ol' competitive Rowan.

• Enemy of the state

  The Exile's Grudge:
  After losing the civil war to the Eastern Arians as a consequence of disobeying a direct and critical order, Rowan was forced to stand trial before the King, Queen, The Prince, and the council to decide what discipline he should endure. Time in the brig simply wasn't enough but the prince offered something rather inhumane and unshockingly, the council agreed to see it through.
  A few nights afterwards, the prince was found horrifically butchered in his own room, tied up and nailed to the wall by means of daggers through his collarbone regions. A hole in his chest where his heart had literally been torn out. Guards spotted the assailant fleeing the palace who they claimed to have identified as Rowan.
  At that moment, the King gathered what little army the empire had and that is when the order was given... bring Rowan back alive or dead and be rewarded handsomely.
  
  The Bounty:
  With this bounty in excess of 50 million dead and 3x that if brought back alive, it presented major complications. Rowan's pedigree of War Leader over an entire army for most of his life has conditioned him further into his already grim and sour methods. While not directly knowing of this bounty... yet, he has enjoyed the random 'sparring' encounters across the lands up until the opponent's death.
  Taking on this man single-handedly would often be declared as a valiant act of suicide.
  
  Correcting the sin:
  In his current state of delusion; Rowan is solely under the impression the message his gods gave him was the only path to redemption is to undo the sin that was created 11yrs ago as a result of his rage and negligence. His comprehension of this benign deal was to murder his only son then present the corpse to the gods.
  To Rowan, that would mean that his very son is, in fact, the enemy of the state and what was more alarming was... he'd stop at nothing to fulfil the deal.
