Out of all the demons, ghosts and lost souls Abelard collected, Helen is the only one that stays by his side in her flesh form. She's a low class demon that took a liking to the man and no contract was ever made, her soul belongs to no one and Abelard had never tried to take it from her as she follows him everywhere anyway.
She behaves much like a cat and appears so to a mere human, however her stomach is an endless pit and she can and will eat prey much larger than her.
"I advice you don't touch the cat. You might get bitten."
It is unknown why Abelard chose to keep her without confronting her for her soul, but it is entirely possible he sees Helen as the child he was so cruelly denied and treats her with utmost care.
