• Physical Description

  Wings tipped red, eyes glazed with honey, and all else slate blue-grey. A strange mysticism in his gaze, which saw, from underneath careless dark bangs, what felt like everything: an unraveling of hope and desire and purpose, all laid bare for his inspection. The feline's white robes, edged in gold filigree and accented in striking red like the tips of his feathers, further dramatized his sense of knowing. The sleeves were split, hanging behind his arms - the left bound in a blood red glove that spanned fingertips to shoulder. Three buckles sat snugly over his left bicep. His smile was sweet but insincere. With close attention, many of his expressions seemed to be ghosts, reproductions of habit, like an artist painting from memory something that had long disappeared.

• Brief Bio

  "Narsuun" is a big name in some parts of the world. He ran two magical academies, lead an order of Scarhawk riding wizards called the Hawkmage, and engineered a spectacular failure of a rebellion in Kasuria against King Callistin. Well, depending on who you ask. The Hawkmage and the raptor Knights were actually doing quite well in the fight against the King's supporters, but the harder the rebellion struggled against the King, the tighter his grip became on Kasuria. The racism he was trying to stop grew worse, killing fellow knights only made the hatred worse. What he hoped would turn into a sweeping uprising became a lost cause. The Hawkmage became an extremist group out to, according to most of Kasuria, destroy the unity of the Kingdom. And then, in one fell swoop, the entire force was wiped out, during particularly catastrophic battle against overwhelming numbers. The stranglehold on the finances of Kasuria had filled the King's coffers to fund the war effort. Callistin captured him and ordered that his wings be severed and burned so that they may not grow back, on the spot. Then he was to be taken to Malgrave for a formal execution. Before he could be executed, however, Narsuun managed to escape, with a small group of Knights. Most of them died shortly after, and Narsuun dissappeared for a time. (The rest of his time in Kasuria is to be determined!)
  
  Then Narsuun died, far away from his home, a veteran of many wars under a different Royal Family, some 20 years later. By then an Arch Magus, with a new academy and new students, Narsuun had lead a full life. Memories of Kasuria he kept close to his heart, despite their distance. Those regrets were with him when he died. His Scarhawk, a companion since his teenage years, died with him.
  
  But Fate had other plans.
  
  Not long later, Narsuun was called back to the world, and was the first replacement of the now retired Lesser Fates. He took up his title, The Fate of Temperance, and tried to pick up his life again. But Urraim, the city he had come to call home was different - no. He was different. Leaving his academy in competant hands, he left another home behind.
  
  Arriving on the island of Nasmara, Narsuun found a village ruled by his long estranged father figure, Lord Spellcarver the Darkhand. The two had not spoken in quite some time, not since Narsuun had stood against Spellcarver on the battlefield for the second time. But since his death and rebirth, the man who had taught Narsuun for many years had found something else to be angry about. The reconciliation process was long, and is still ongoing, but Temperance has found a new home for his new life as an immortal, serving the Balance.

• Hey Ben, so, what does he DO?

  Had this question posed to me recently, and decided that I should probably make things a little more explicit. What IS Temperance, what does he do and what is he for?
  
  He's a Fate. What does that mean? Well for story purposes it's supposed to be kind of mysterious. What's important is what it means for you, and your characters. A Fate is an enforcer of Balance, and also of Destiny. They go around making sure the world ticks over as it's supposed to. It means that he has a power level that most dream administrators would kick me right back out the door I came in for, but bear with me.
  
  Temperance is not a character for me. I play him, yes, but he doesn't conquer kingdoms, has no desire to use his power to gain influence over others. Most of the time he spends his days happily in a small village. Temperance is a character for YOU. Upon request, I make him available for YOU to use in plots, of either a personal, or public nature. He is a tool for YOUR roleplay.
  
  Alright what the hell does that mean? I already mentioned that he's a guardian of Destiny. The cool thing about that is, as the player, you decide what your character's destiny is. Not me. Do you play NC and has something happened that you REALLY don't like? Is someone gunning to kill your character for no good reason? Possesed by a demon? Has someone turned your character into the derpiest thing that ever did derp, like some sort of vampire hybrid out of every RPers worst nightmare? I can help. Temperance can help. He's a way for you to maintain some control over your character. Like many roleplayers, I've had things happen to my alts that I really wish I could change. That just don't work, or are plain stupid. Want one of your characters killed off? I can do that too.
  
  The second major role he plays is protecting the Balance. That means many things, but what it will most likely mean is that he will enter a conflict when one side threatens to completely wipe out the other. He can be a tool for large conflict plolts, aiding the losing side, creating turmoil in the ranks of the winning side, whatever. Quite often he won't get directly involved, he will just start finding characters destined to be heroes, and lead them to where they need to be. So he can be useful if you want an excuse for your character to enter an event, as well. It also means he's likely to hunt down anyone trying to do things that would upset the natural course of the world: ascension to godhood, bleeding dimensions into one another, crazy shit like that. But if I do get involved in something, and you don't WANT me there, unless I've been approved by the staff of the group we're in, feel free to tell me to bugger off. I'm not here to ruin your fun, I'm here as a device to help your plots along. Sometimes fun ruination does happen, and for that I apologize in advance.
