• Description

  Salimud wears a red and orange short-sleeved robe specially designed not to burn when he is using his power. He also wears a red bandana around his forehead as well as red fingerless gloves and shalwar pants. He has one tattoo, on his right forearm looking like this: كافر‎, kafir. It is Arabic for "nonbeliever" or "infidel", and he got the tattoo to tell others, as well as to remind himself, that he would not be ashamed for abandoning his duties, and that he would not give that mentality up for anything or anyone.
  
  Salimud is a very active fighter, being able to run fast and react quickly. He is also exclusively a contact fighter, meaning that he does not utilize any form of weapon other than his fire and his body. Salimud never become dehydrated, although he will be significantly weaker if he has not consumed alcohol. He gets his power from consuming alcoholic drinks. His body digests the alcohol and converts it into something resembling an organic version of lighter fluid. His skin then excretes very small amounts of this fluid, which catches on fire due to his skin temperature. In emergencies he can also drink natural gas, although he becomes very very very dangerous if he does so. Salimud is very resistant to becoming drunk. Salimud took a few jars of the petroleum from his desert before he left. He may spread this over his body during battle, allowing his fire to burn bigger and hotter. However, it us much harder to extinguish the flames if that were to happen.
  
  Arabian fire elementals like Salimud have high skin temperatures, a healthy inactive temperature being about 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This is true at every part of his body except his palms and fingers. Salimud usually has expert control over his body temperature. Before or during battle, his body temperature can rise significantly, reaching almost 650-750 degrees Fahrenheit. If he should ever fall in love, his temperature may drop violently to about 99 degrees, very close to that of a human being. This is the only instance where such a change in temperature is not detrimental to his health. Because of his high temperature, Salimud can survive in a cold or wintery climate for about two days. After that, his body temperature can decline, falling to dangerous levels within 18 hours.

• Biography

  Salimud was born to Arabic parents, where he spent a little of his early childhood. However, when he was three years old he was taken from his parents and assigned to an uninhabited patch of desert to guard with his life. Salimud spent another fourteen years guarding that desert from intruders, all while being attacked by the desert itself. Hawks, snakes, locusts, scorpions, and other desert critters would constantly ambush him, every once in a while coming close to ending his life. Salimud would discover that the rain he was defending the desert was because it was rich in petroleum, and the humans wished to extract it which would disrupt the ecosystem there. When he had just turned eighteen, Salimud decided, after another close call, that he would flee the desert, an action that was considered traitorous to elementals of that region. Almost as soon as he left, water and earth elementals were sent to either bring him back to his assigned area, or kill him. This is why he hates any elemental that isn't a fire elemental. Thus starting a seemingly endless one-man rebellion that still goes on.
