Vered Sorenson

Big Personality traits:
Quite outgoing and friendly, likes to talk to new people. Also secretive and keeps people at an arm's length. Will avoid topics of home life. Will make jokes of her eye injury. Empathic to others within reason. Can be surprisingly serious. Rarely gets angry.


Backstory:
Vered was born as the second child in a loving but quite poor family. Her father worked in a factory and her mother as a cleaner in a motel. Despite the lack of funds, they still had a good homelife, though the house in need of repair, her older brother went into construction, he was quite older than her, but mingling with the wrong crowd he soon ended in prison, leaving them even worse off.
Vered was also getting close to the wrong type of people and one day she stole from an old lady's home, just some weird statues and some shiny rocks, she ended up getting hit by a car on her way to pawn it off. She somehow lost her eye but otherwise was fine.
The lady didn't press charges and Vered soon found out why, she was now the host of something otherworldly. Something that had made its home in her skull. They kept hidden from others, so no matter how many times she asked her family or doctors to look, they saw nothing but an empty socket.
Shame, confusion and a hospital bill that left them with even less brought her away from that crowd. She could do nothing but accept it, she changed schools, got her grades a bit up again, got into a college with part of the bill coveret, and even picked up a part time job to help her family.
Her questions about it, her new roommates… or bodymates were left unanswered, but she learned to live with it.

Powers:
Rarely any of her powers are really by conscious choice but rather the beings defending her as they need their host to stay alive. They themselves are easily detroyed but they are seemingly endless.

Defense Ball: In cases of big danger, like a natural disaster, fire or collision they will form a ball around her, she will take damage as they will come out as many as needed to make the defense.
Lift:the tentacles can lift each about 1100lbs/500kg each, and 4 can be active at once without Vered taking physical damage, somehow she cannot feel the weight of whatever they lift within that ratio.
Stretch: the tentacles can in general stretch about 20ft/6m out of her socket but are in general a bit longer.
Numbing slime: a poisonous slime they can ooze that can numb other beings, it's non fatal but can leave the person paralyzed for upto a half day, if intaking too much of it. They don't generally do it as other options are usually preferred.
