SHE'S A NIGHTMARE DRESSED LIKE A DAYDREAM
Aleksandra "Sasha" Nikolaievna Annenkova was born as the daugther of Katya Annenkova and Nikolai Annenkov (née Dobrynin), along side her twin brother, Mikhail Nikolaiovich Annenkov. In Gotham City, their parents Katya and Nikolai were best known for their status as "the it couple", whom everyone were jealous of. If that wasn't enough, the couple were also extremely rich that it was said that they allegedly "owned the half of Gotham City", mostly due to Nikolai being a coveted neurosurgeon among many hospitals in and outside of Gotham. He was a neurosurgeon who travelled to the most difficult operations and he earned millions to keep talking about his work etc. As for Katya, well that’s another story. She was known as “Gotham’s darling” because of her loving approach towards children. During Katya's own childhood, she lost both of her parents and never got to experience a place she could call home because she had to move from place to place.
That’s how Annenkova’s Orphanage was created, led by Katya herself; an academy for education and betterment of orphans in Gotham City, but foremost a home for those in need of it. After the couple got married, they discovered that Katya had missed her period when they went on their honeymoon in Russia. Elated, Katya rushed to the nearest drug store and purchased a pregnancy test. The little pink plus was all she’d ever wanted to see, since she had always dreamt of children of her own. Naturally, when Sasha and Mikhail was born they were showered in love from all those around them. Not too much drama happened in their childhood and they got all the love and affection they needed from their parents, even though they were travelling a lot around the world but she couldn't ask for any better or more loving parents.
Being a social butterfly like her mother, the young Sasha never had trouble making friends, always striving to be kind to others. However, it was hard sometimes, to always be kind, because she did inherit her mother's stubbornness and fiery temper. In high school, the twins were the centres of attention, captivating this attention with their charming and charismatic demeanours just like their father. Sasha was always seen together with her twin and where Mikhail went, she went too. Sasha was seven, when she manifested signs of her own mutation, inheriting her father's telekinetic abilities and her grandfather's telepathy. On many occasions since as a little girl, she has shown to have strong empathic powers that enabled her to control, manipulate and alter the feelings, sensations and emotions of others. Though a small part of Katya and Nikolai hoped that their daughter would end up being human, for her own sake, they were also proud to see their daughter’s mutation come out of dormant. Urging Sasha to be careful with her abilities, and work hard to not expose herself again to the humans, they began to teach her everything they knew about being a mutant, and helped her practice to master her power. However, no one said it was easy, and it was really hard for Sasha to master her abilities. However, Katya and Nikolai decided not to pull the twins out of school and prayed that no accidents would happen. Sasha would just have to mind what she said out loud as a result of her starting to hear others thoughts, and she had to be careful about how she thought in order to not accidentally lift something with her telekinesis. As nothing happened, they forgot their own fear and life went fast by for the little family.
However, during the twins 5th grade of school, just before summer break, they lost their parents. Katya and Nikolai were both on their way home to Gotham, when their flight crashed down, and the police concluded it to be an engine error. However, that’s what everyone thought, inclusive the twins, when in fact they were murdered on board of the flight by other meta-humans. Sasha’s world came crashing down. They were only 11 years old when their parents died, making them inherit almost seven billion dollars. As a result of this, Sasha dropped out of high school at the age of 15 and disappeared off the face of the earth for nearly 12 years before popping up in Gotham City again with her twin brother, Mikhail, at the age of 27.
According to the newspapers, she was travelling in Asia buying stock markets, but her abilities in martial arts tells a different story. Besides being a millionaire and co-owner of Musgrave Corp. with her brother, there is not much to tell about Sasha. Her job has mainly to do with being the investor, making sure the company never need any money nor has troubles - and also manages to be the face of the company, keeping it's good image going. Apart from this image, she's rumoured to be a regular customer of various exclusive nightclubs where she is seen most nights, when she is not working. To the outside world, she is just a rich heiress who occasionally likes to have fun and her fair share of handsome and good-looking men at her beg and call, but that is only a disguise she maintains very well.
Hiding behind this disguise is a woman who's been trough hell and back again. While some people know that she dropped out of high school and left the country, no one never knew the reason behind. Most guessed that she was travelling around Asia, buying stock markets. How this fitted with her having no education didn't occur to most people – they just assumed that she knew because of her parents. Truth to be told, she went on a soul-searching trip after her brother's imprisonment in Russia, where afterwards she ended up at a training camp learning martial arts and trying to master her abilities. However, the trip in Asia changed the young girl completely. She had gone through many hardships (one of them being able to master her telepathy and telekinesis) in order to become this kind of woman, she is today.
It was mainly the people Sasha met during her trip to Asia and her own brother who inspired her to become someone who could help others. During her brother's imprisonment, she learned to communicate with him mentally, although they'd always been able to do this since they were young. Through Mikhail's thoughts, Sasha was able to know almost everything there was to know about his imprisonment in Russia – and it was far from a pretty sight. Knowing there was nothing she could do other than wait for him, she still tried to help him as much as she could despite the far distance. Via their mindlink, they had many conversations, always ending with Sasha cheering him up and saying that they'd see each other again very soon. But sometimes, she couldn't help think that their mental conversations were the only thing that kept Mikhail from going insane, something she was so ever grateful for since she couldn't do anything else. She hated feeling helpless; a feeling that inspired her to become someone much stronger.
That's how Justice Society and her alias as Mindgirl came to be. After reuniting with her brother, they returned to Gotham City and formed the group with one purpose in mind – to bring peace and justice to their beloved city. However, first, they needed to create a disguise that would keep other people from finding out about their secret identities. Therefore, the siblings bought Musgrave Corporation and took on the disguise of businessman and -woman and no one ever suspected those two were capable of fighting criminals in the night, while taking care of business in the day. The twins made sure of this by telling the media how busy their schedules were and how they occasionally liked to party at night when they were free. After buying Musgrave Corp, the twins got indeed busy, but it was not long before other people with the same metahuman-gene and remarkable abilities joined Justice Society. Whereas they were two in the beginning, they become a group, a team with the same goal in mind; fighting criminals in Gotham City. -

The term Meta-human is used to refer to any human-like being with extranormal powers and abilities. A significant portion of these are normal human beings born with a genetic variant called the "metagene", which causes them to gain powers and abilities during freak accidents or times of intense psychological distress.
⎨ EMPATHY ⎬On many occasions, Sasha has shown strong empathic powers which enable her to control, manipulate and alter the feelings, sensations and emotions of others.
Empathic Projection: She can share sensations and emotions with other people, either by mutually shared emotions or exercising control over others by forcing emotions onto them. However, this require physical contact. She can also experience the feelings of others by physical contact.
Lie Detection: She can sense when a person is lying to her, as lying can cause an irregularity in one's emotions.
Empathic healing: She can heal emotional wounds, but is unable to heal physical wounds. This can only be done if she is making physical contact with the victim. When she "heals" wounds that are physical, she don't heal the actually injury. She simply takes the pain into herself so the victim no longer feels the pain.
⎨ TELEPATHY⎬Sasha can read other peoples thoughts, project and broadcast her own thoughts (in order to communicate that way), as well as affect or control the minds of humans and animals with higher order intelligence such as dolphins, ravens or dogs.
Mind Link: Ability to develop a mental link with any person, which remains as a connection to that individual. This way she is able to communicate regardless of the distance between herself and the person she is mind linking to.
Telepathic Defense: She can manifest her telepathy in a number of defensive ways to protect her own mind. One being the ability to produce a psychic shield for protection of herself and the minds of others.
Telepathic Cloak: She can mask her presence and the use of her abilities from being detected by others psychics. She can extend these defenses to others around her as well. Cloaking via telepathy is not perfect and powerful and other stronger psychics may notice and 'see' through this ability.
Telepathic Camouflage: She can alter the apparent physical appearance of herself and other people by altering the perceptions of those around her. This can go so far as to make other people believe that the camouflaged people are invisible.

⎨ TELEKINESIS⎬Sasha can control all things of matter with a single thought however she wishes, lift herself and move through the air to simulate flight, generate force as blasts or bursts and create protective shields:
Levitation: She can cause herself/subjects/objects to hover/float in the air, allowing herself to carelessly float in the air and prevent their bodies from making contact the ground below.
Binding: She is able to bind, imprison, paralyze and/or otherwise stop targets moving normally and possibly completely freezing them where they were.
Telekinetic Pull/Push: She is able to either pull objects towards her or push them away, e.g. yanking a book off a shelf or sliding a cup across a table.
Forcefield Shield: She can create a telekinetic field to either shield her and her teammates or use it to lift multiple heavy objects at her enemy.
Psionic combat: She can utilize telekinesis in physical combat by for example pushing/pulling moving/lifting objects/people for attack and/or defense etc.
Psionic energy: She can release blasts of psionic/telekinetic energy capable of destroying anything in their path, using various intensities, shapes, etc.
⎨ TWIN CONNECTION & MARTIAL ARTS ⎬By being linked to each other, Sasha and her twin become stronger in each others presence. How this is possible is still a mystery to them, but they've always had a special bond. Sasha can mind link Mikhail regardless despite vast distances and read his mind and feelings as clearly as her own, and vice versa. Besides this, they are both highly trained in martial arts which makes them capable unarmed combatants.
