  • Aflictions and Scarring: Going slightly gray around the edges due to age. This has probably been a decade or two overdue, but he honestly couldn't say for sure. Ugly patchwork of scaring on his left side just beneath the ribs, like something chewed it's way through. Palms are a twisty matrix of scarring from accidental self mutilation (damn those talons!). Back is a nasty web-work of scars much like one might typically see on an often whipped slave, though he didn't bear any scarring from shackles or bonds.

• Normal Description

  A tank of muscle canned in shining mithril armor, hovering over crowds at six feet and seven. A pair of angelic wings burst from his back, and between the metal plates the gleam of chain links could be spotted. Taloned fingers erupted from pristine gauntlets and white feathers covered the extent of a very human face. Metal capped antlers erupt from a mass of brown hair, 8 points makes a rack. The tail of a cat and eyes of an owl finish off a mix-matched lineage. 'Ware the heavy headed hammer, and admire the gleaming metal shield. Newly etched into the metal of his chestplate was a silver lightning bolt clutched in a human fist.

• Items of Note

  A list of notable items that can almost always be found on Arbal's person:

  • War-hammer - Glamour-steel hammerhead to replace the original steel. Properties of glamour-steel allow it to be handled by fae creatures without the issues that iron based items have. This particular item is shaped like a dragon's head. The core of the weapon is a single diamond, showing through holes where the dragon's eyes would be. This allows for temporary enchantments to be bestowed to the weapon.
  • Shield - What would be your typical heater shield is made odd by a large, skull-sized diamond set into the center. The crystal is shaved flat on both sides and gives a clear view from one to the other like a window. Metal is steel, heavy and strong. A small catch on the back is designed to hold a small book.
  • Armor - A full plate suit, minus the helmet for obvious reasons. There is also a missing section from the back to allow a pair of wings to still be used. Like normal plate it is several layers: the first a suit of padded wool with leather stitched to the joints and any weight bearing points. The second layer is a suit of chain-mail, the links clean and well maintained. The final layer is the plate itself. Each piece of metal, down to the links of chain, is kept immaculately clean. Unlike the shield, the entire suit is made of mithril: strong as steel but only a tenth of the weight. The center of the chest is etched with the Symbol of Heironeous.
  • Prayer Book - A small and worn leather bound book. The thing is old, and several of the pages show signs of being replaced. No title is on the cover and the interior script is a tiny scrawl of unusual lettering combinations making it clear a cipher was in use. Despite the wear, the fact that each page is expensive vellum makes clear it is an important item.
  • Antler Caps - Each tine of his antlers is capped with a sharpened metal cap. This reinforces his ability to use them as a last-ditch weapon in combat. Each cap is made of fine steel and kept to a polish of mirror-like quality.
  • Money Pouch - Kept in a small catch on the inside of his armor, this generic leather pouch contains the small bits of coin used during the man's travels. At any given time it could be flush or barren depending on his recent travels.
  • Lady's Scarf - A fine green silk scarf is worn on his upper left arm beneath his armor. If ever seen, it would be unremarkable save for a finely scripted "EB" on one corner. A sentimental keepsake.
  • Ballock Dagger - A simple blade of steel. While able to cut, the thing's design is made for stabbing. Often kept hidden beneath his breast plate.
