Medium-Heavy Roleplayer from the Eastern Timezone (EST). In MMO roleplay, I generally RP in public channels (/say with flat say for emotes and quoted say for speaking), but also sometimes use /whisper for certain narrative elements. I can to switch to RPing in /party for the comfort of others. I prefer either predetermined combat RP, or using some form of dice-based contested combat RP; I do frequently take player level into consideration for combat unless there is discussion before-hand.
When it comes to RP Romance - I am very wary of RP romance, do to bad experiences with overly-clingy and outright stalkerish people in the past. In RL, I am in a devoted polyfidelitous relationship, and people often don't respect that, or think they can just barge in and join the relationship - and it doesn't work that way. However, if someone can be respectful of those boundaries and my real life partners, and it makes sense for the character progression, I am not adverse to character romance. There absolutely must be a high amount of OOC communication, however, so keep that in mind.
There must be a clear separation of IC and OOC at all times. This is very important. This character does not express himself well, and often makes horrible social mistakes due to being horribly shy, and remaining rather secluded. This does not mean that I as a player dislike you as a player, or think illy of you as a player - these are social mistakes my character is making towards your character, not you. This character may end up horribly insulting your character by accident, but remember: I'm not insulting you! I am all about IC and OOC separation and do not use my character as a proxy for my feelings towards someone.
Personal RP Limits:
■ Do: I'm perfectly okay with the darker themed plots, with violence, with gore, with some themes that may not be acceptable to other players or their characters. Be communicative about your ideas beforehand if they aren't mainstream or if they're dark, as there are others who are affected by my roleplay and need to be made aware of what is happening - and there are certain limitations on how dark things can get, even for me.
■ Ask: Disfigurement, dismemberment, or other kinds of mutilation. Permanent scarring or symbols without prior approval. Torture with lasting, long-term effects (longer than 3 months). Longer term and/or permanent injury. Longer-term captivity or imprisonment. Tampering of the mind that results in major changes or significant memory or personality changes. Dramatic character changes, or extremely negative impacts on my character without prior discussion. Some of these may be on the table with extensive prior discussion, if your idea is well-thought out.
■ Don't: Permanent character death. Permanently maiming, crippling of my character that completely prevents her from living independently without extensive prior discussion. RP a clingy "hanger-on" type that must be around Akira constantly, whether romantically or platonically. RP strictly for the chance to trigger romance. RP for a chance at 3D artwork. -

Hair: Kym'a's hair is bright white, with sort of flat cobalt blue streaks. While he keeps the front moderately long in the front, so that he can hide his face.
Skin: Like many Keepers of the Moon, Kym'a's skin is very pale.
Appearance details: Kym'a is fairly short, even for a Miqo'te, and there are a fewwe young teen Miqo'te in his tribe that tower over him. He prefers to wear blues and silvers, mostly in the pale or light range of hues, though he often wears black pants and shoes. He prefers robes, even though wearing them only leads to more people mistaking him for a girl, longer rather than shorter.

Personality:
Religious beliefs/philosophy: Like many of his ancestors, Kym'a primarily relates to Thaliak the Scholar, although he is occasionally graced by Menphina, Oschon, or Azeyma. He often gives thanks to these deities, however he's not what could be called conventionally religious; he's more spiritual, and doesn't follow any organised religion.
Strengths, talents, and points of pride: Kym'a is a natural linguist, and learns languages fairly easily. His primary focus is the ancient Allagan tongue, and it's dialects. He can make sense of languages that are similar, although he can't translate the unknown language word for word. He started learning other languages from outsiders and books when he was very young, and is currently learning the languages of the Beastmen tribes.
Unfortunately for Kym'a, very few people speak their racial tongue any more.
As a sort of hobby, Kym'a likes to make jewellery, and isn't half bad at doing so.
Weaknesses, detriments, and points of improvement: While he tries hard, he's not very good with magic, likely due to a lack of confidence, and his spells are often either underpowered or unintentionally overpowered unless they're related to the Carbuncle, or summons in general. -

Recent history: Recently, Kym'a has returned to Gridania after completing his training at the Arcanists' Guild in Limsa Lominsa, however he has avoided returning to his tribe's lands just yet.
Notable relationships: Kym'a is usually accompanied by one of four companions - Macha the Emerald Carbuncle, Michi the Topaz Carbuncle, Althea the Eos Fairy and her twin, Asteria the Selene Fairy; more often than not, it is either Macha or occasionally Althea beside him. Recently, a very young Moogle named Mogchi has started following him around. -
